I have one in storage in Atascadero, California and one at my home in Port Charlotte, Florida. These are much faster and tippier than the BOP versions and excellent flat water boards. The one in California has about 20 hours on it and the one in Florida has less than 5 hours. In Florida I also have my M&M 14 pintail with several years of use and lots of races and some UV exposure for the same price. Call my cell at 805-441-7463 for more info.

Thanks! the 1st through 3rd medals are the cool ones. The regular finisher medals are not as fancy.

This is a really fun downriver race on fairly slow moving water. It takes place during the the canoe nationals in Newaygo, Michigan so there are lots of paddlers to convert! Finisher medals for the first 50 SUPs to finish. More info on the Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/events/443524735736472/?fref=ts

August 9th is Kids day at the USCA Nationals. The day is reserved for kids that were 17 or younger on Jan. 1st, 2012 The main event for them is the 500 meter sprints. Separate classes for SUPs, Canoes, Kayaks & gender. Last year I had almost 20 kids wanting to borrow one of the 4 boards I brought so there were lots of sad kids. There are 100's of young up and coming paddlers mostly in canoes and it seems they all wanted to try the boards. If you are in the area or doing any of the other events at the USCA Nationals please bring a board (even if it is a beater) for some kid to borrow. The USCA is allowing SUPs to compete in their Orienteering event again this year. I did it last year and was the only SUP. It was just under 3 hours and I was able to see the marks a lot easier than the kayaks or canoes. Good map reading is more important than board speed so this is a great event if you more IQ than strength! More info here: http://www.fastkayak.com/suprace.html

I'm leaving August 1st on a SUP trip making several stops including the last race of the MIDWEST STAND UP PADDLEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES in Duluth, MN then on to 5 days of racing at the USCA flatwater Nationals in Newaygo, MI I have room in my fun hauler for extra boards if anyone is up for a cross country trip? If you are a good west coast paddler you should be able to medal at the USCA event as there are plenty of chances with the different events and this is the first year they are including SUP's as a medal class. I do not expect a large west coast style turn out and I wouldn't mind adding a medal to the one I got 10 years ago in the kayak category! Feel free to call my cell at 805-441-7463

Higher than last year which was fine unless you try shortcuts along the sides. There are lots of surf skis that do this race with thru hull rudders, I did put on a plastic Drake fin on just in case I got shallow last year, probably still a good idea.

This event was a blast last year if you missed it. The current runs about 2 mph except at 2 small rapids where the current can hit 10mph! It is like paddling 15mph when you blast through. If you have not yet done a River Race you are really missing out. Entry form here: http://www.fastkayak.com/rcp11.pdf

We have both in our shop and they are by far the fastest here and the tippiest. The new M2 version is a lot more stable and only gives up a tiny bit of speed. Great boards!
