The problem with Futures fins in a QUAD world, is you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Futures builds the cant angle into the fin. Making it impossible to freely use any fin in the front or back. Add in the stupid deep boxes and shallow boxes, and its a cluster f**k.

Then Futures has the wacky shifting of the rear fins to the back of the box, while the fronts fit centered in the box.

With FCS, its a dream switching fins into any combination. With wide tail SUPs, its really nice being able to use big fins in the back when the surf gets big. All fins center in the boxes. Combinations are limitless.

I've actually seen a world tour pro sponsored by Futures, use Futures boxes in the front and FCS in the back. That should be a warning shot.

Yep-another reason i really love the Larry Allison Pro-Box System-got in on my new Infinity Phonenix-outstanding!

I like the haters. Or at least the idea of haters, since I've yet to encounter one in the flesh.

Keep SUP uncool. Less competition in the water.
BINGO!

Gear Talk / Dont buy these they suck

needed some fresh booties-have and like the Vibram 5 toes and the Body Glove 3T

wanted to try something different-came across these

Pros-easy to see your toes going into their prospective homes-thats it.

Cons-not easily adjustable-weep holes on top of toes! ??? no place for sand-gravel-small children to flush out of at bottom!-who designed this-i took one step out of the sand and onto my board and they were filled with sand/gravel-dumb design-both the other brands have bottom vents
not easy to flush out by kicking your feet around once you get out past the lineup-had to take them off-this was after i lost one just going through one decent sized wall of whitewater-the whitewater sucked one right off my foot!

Didnt feel all that grippy either but did not have alot of test time-i took one decent wave-slipped on the bottom turn and ate crap and came up cussin
rolled them up and stuffed them into my sleeves for rest of sesh.

no go....

Thank Dave for taking ProBox Finsystem to another level. Mahalo, Larry
Hey thats my board!! :o :D
fun sesh today on it but a bit bumpy-board looks great and thanks Larry for sending the fins-cant wait to get em, even in considerable chop the Phoenix was very stable-i was doing my best to stay out of dave and anthony and candices way-geez anthony can catch any wave that comes his way-fun sesh for sure.

same here years ago but L3-L4
man yours is way up there in the spine
doing Pilates now to strengthen flabby inner core-thigh-abductor-low back muscles to support spine better
more conscious of my posture
SUP helped a lot-this was the main reason i quit proning-havent proned in over 5 years!
need to try again soon to see how i feel
I also bought an old man chair-big Relaz the Back electric recliner-thing is awesome-takes pressure off low back when sitting-not sure it would do the same for your issues, i also drive a lot for work and lift heavy objects-put one of those back supporter pads on the driver side-seems to help-keeps my posture from slouching.
Also from time to time i wear a Posture Correction undershirt-you seen these-pretty cool-have tight panels sewn into them that pull your shoulders back for better posture-a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.
Good luck man hope you get better!

So my good surf buddy-Will-lives near a notorious bay famous for sweet pads and heaving shorebreak. Same place that ate my beloved Nectar a few years back-i havent been back since to his spot despite his constant whining!

Will is a great dude-big personality and always willing to charge-consequences be damned.
Think Seth Enslow from Crusty Demons of Dirt meets Kung Fu Panda.

Here he is detonating his custom chrome Hobie Colin Pro model in thumping TAB shorebreak.

the asym is obviously a very niche board in a very niche small sup surf craft market-that being said-love me some niche.
think for now im gonna stick with my Infinity V3 that i should be getting next week.
Dave made a sick lookin asym i think for Chill out in the carolinas, and i think Giant is gettin one-but im gonna hold off until i master the V3.
They are just so friggin cool looking too. Would love to post a pic but thats frowned upon around these parts lately ???

Honestly i think my next board after the Infinity V3 is a big, wide, long fun cruiser-ive gotten away from this the last few years and its time to get back out to those fun outer reefs and get some nose time and glide time in....
