I have several board bags, but looking for one with rollers. I'd like it to fit my 8'0 x 28 SUP, along with a surfboard. Lots of choices online, but not sure they will accommodate the width needed. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Scored some solid waves in NIC. A beautiful country, felt safe at all times. We had the peaks to ourselves at sunrise. We respected the locals and proners when they paddled out by moving to the shoulders or to another reef. Love me Ke Nalu paddle!

Good info, thanks ny37! I am headed to NIC for a trip so might be a good time to use! I found the NSI surface mounts...is there a particular type of strap you recommend?

ny37 - I like your design. What type of strap is that, and how did you fix it to your board? thx!

Cardiff, is that the 7'7 (2014?) Pro? Do you mind me asking your weight?
I ride most often a 7'8 now (7'8 x 29 x 4.25). Its very stable to me. Trying to decide between the Pro 7'7 or 8'0 for my next board.
I assume the benefits or the brushed carbon are worth it in your opinion?
I am 5'10, 170 - 175lbs.
I have a 7'3 x 31 x 4...105 liters (I am in North Carolina) for those mushy / choppy days we have here. The Air Born looks pretty interesting, but I'll tackle that (vs my current 7'3) for another conversation.
I sincerely apprciate your feedback. Being on the East Coast...we dont have any demo boards here (that I am aware of), so we just kind of have to wing it...(and they aint cheap)!

Great info, appreciate everyone's insight. I was looking at getting a Pro. Trying to decide between the 8'0 and 7'7. I like the length of the 7'7, but width may push my limits? I currently ride a 7'8 x 29 x 4.25 (see attached). I am also on the East Coast of USA, and its hard to demo boards here...so getting feedback from you guys who ride these is so helpful. I'm a pretty experienced SUP surfer. Any feedback would be greatly apprciated!

Is anyone aware of demo boards on the East Coast, in or around North Carolina? I am very interested in either the 7'7 Pro or 8'0, but feel I need to test drive before buying (the Brushed Carbon version). I ride a 7'7 now, but its 29 wide and 4.25 thick... I weight 175lbs
I like an aggressive board, but not trying to win any contests...
Any Starboard reps out there??

Just got back from the http://bluezonesup.com/ SUP camp an these guys have it going on. They are locals to the area and have the breaks dialed-in. We SUP'd (by ourselves) some juicy point breaks, and beach breaks as well. Wave count was unlimited! They took care of everything...picked us up at Liberia, we grilled out or hit some area restaurants for lunch and dinner. Some guys brought their boards, but they also have a great quiver onsite for charging waves. They hooked us up with ATVs, and we took an afternoon to go fishing..hooked a marlin and a few sails. Solid trip, great group of guys.

Just returned from San Jose Del Cabo - highly recommend SUP Mexico for rentals and gear. Alfredo and his team took care of us. Several breaks across the street , reef and point. Can get crowded at Old Man's and lots of beginners in the water ( but this is a really fun wave ). The Rock is a little more challenging and faster... Great wave. Several other breaks within 20 or so miuntes but i did not get a chance to check them out. Respect the locals, don't take all the waves and you will have a blast. Great area to flat water paddle as well.

There is a nice reef break in Del Ray beach.... Park near Atlantic Avenue ( plenty or parking)...bring quarters. Big beach lots of room to spread out. not sure what swell direction it works on as I am not from there, but I have ridden some fun waves at this spot. Del Ray is about 40 minutes N of Ft Lauderdale. Boynton Beach Inlet is also a fun spot...but can be sharky.
