Just had the time to read this one and wow...came on really strong!
Thanks for sharing.
One thing still baffles me though, how can individuals be goofy or regular?
Does it all point to that very first step you make on a board and stick to that for the rest of your life?
By the way, I am goofy.

How's the board for a 130-pound beginner? Or should he stick with longer SUBs?

I can't remember where I have seen the video but it says there that if you're about to fall, do not fall on the board but, as much as possible, try falling in to the water so as to avoid damaging your expensive board and injuring yourself in the process.
I guess all the aches and pains can be averted through rigorous stretching before paddling out to sea. With SUP's overall body workout, its critical to loosen and warm those joints and muscles.

Amazing! Looks like fun, although I was initially perturbed by the phenomenon. Thanks for sharing!

Hey guys, for those interested in helping out...check out these sites... http://www.b-e-a-c-h.org/ and http://www.surfrider.org...maybe you know of other environment-veered organizations that the public can engage in. Let's add them to the list.

after looking at some of the paddle vids, i decided i wasn't digging deep enuf so i went out in flat water today and dug deeper and by golly it makes a whole bunch of difference. much more faster! i also noticed -- as maybe it was bradley who pointed it out -- that with the blade in deeper, I could bring the paddle shaft closer to the board, thus the blade was more under the board, thus the board tracked straighter (if you catch my drift). now the issue is not the blade hitting the side of the board and taking out bits and pieces but the shaft, as i drag it down the rail. anyone here taping their shaft w/ mastic tape or similar? i'm thinking it might be better just to mastic tape the rails. thoughts, anyone?
Linter, found this blog. It's the same site in stoneaxe's post. Hope this can help... http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/2007/09/27/save-your-rails-on-your-stand-up-paddle-surfboard/

Looks interesting...has anyone from here tried this? Does it have the same feel as SUP-ing?

Thankfully I have found this thread...I have been visiting standuppaddlesurf.net since SUP caught my interest and your RSS modules would add to my daily digest. Thanks for sharing MichaelF
