Hi I will be racing on my SUP with Hunter as my copilot in this years Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge, www.gorgepaddlechallenge.com, to help raise money for two great organizations, Golden Bond Rescue Of Oregon, www.goldenbondrescue.com, and Hood River Adopt A Dog, www.hoodriveradoptadog.com. I'm traveling to Chile in November and looking to rent a surf sup preferably in the 8 to 9 ft range. Any advice on who and where I can rent?

Any of you have any recommendations or know of any companies that rent high performance surf sups in Pichilemu Chile region, and Santa Cantarina, Florianapolis Brazil region?  I don't want to bring mine, to avoid the hassle, but want to make sure there's somewhere to rent them, in 8'0" to 9'5" range

Ha, that's hilarious as I didn't even check my status as I don't post on this forum often, but yes I used to work for Naish, and have nothing but great respect for everyone there, but I don't work there anymore.  Just never changed my profile, so I can see how that was probably very odd to post such a question.  I changed my profile, so everything should be current.  That being said, I was just curious on people's feedback on inflatable sup's for surf, as travel and convenience with a sup in a foreign country is something that will eventually be a factor in my travel plans.  I was wondering what new designs are available that cater more to surfing.

SUP General / Best Lodging For SUP Trip Puerto Rico?

We're looking at going to PR in April, and wanted any beta on the best beachfront lodging by a SUP break, preferably a left.  Also, close to a kitesurf spot would be a bonus  Oh and I shouldn't forget any beta on yoga studios or lodging with yoga, as I'm taking the gf.  I know that's asking for it all, but I'm sure there's options.  Also, is it necessary to rent a car?  Priority #1 is a place where I can literally step out of our accommodations and onto a SUP wave, again, a left.

Curious if anyone can provide a list of maybe 5 - 10 of the best downwinders, outside North America and the usual Gorge and Maliko runs.  Planning some vacation time, and looking at Europe as an option, but curious as to the best spots.

SUP General / Splinters Movie Premiere In Hood River

I'm hosting the premiere of "Splinters" at Andrews Skylight Theater in Hood River, OR, on April 30,2012 at 8:20 pm.  Everybody's Brewing is donating a keg, so every Everybody's pint you buy, proceeds go to Surfrider.  It will be the first of 4 movies I will be hosting within what I'm calling "Ocean Collective," where proceeds benefiting organizations involved with ocean advocacy.  You can see the trailer here.

Thanks for the replies.  Hey Tortilla SUP, is it windy in Bucerias?  I'm bringing my kite gear for afternoon kitesurfing and was told Bucerias is good for that this time of year.  Also, any other kiters here that have recommendations for spots along the Sayulita to La Saladita coastline for kiting?

SUP General / Ideas For Best Kite & SUP Spot?

I am making a spontaneous trip to anywhere with warm water, sunny, waves for SUP and wind for kite in afternoon.  I'm leaving anytime next week and would like to keep it within a reasonable budget.  Any ideas or recommendations?  Besides Maui (been there several times already).  Would be leaving Portland so any suggestions for this time of year?  Also, I'm looking to make this one stop shopping where I would bring my own kite gear but would like the option to rent a SUP
