Has a mast track for windsurfing, but used as a SUP surf board almost exclusively. Short and maneuverable, but still quite stable. Relatively flat rocker = fast paddler. Quad + 1 fin set up. These boards are rarely available used. $650 obo. Over $2200 new. t's a great deal for a really nice board - I just never get to use it anymore. In San Diego. 3

Sweet pics, Phil! Glad you're getting better use out of that board than I did... Meet up at San Onofre one of these days?

I saw 6'6" on the website, too. Please post if you find out something different; I'll eventually be heading down to Cabo and would prefer to bring my board if it makes sense. Thanks.

Wind Powered / Re: Anybody sail the 8'10" Starboard Widepoint???« on: September 01, 2011, 11:37:45 AM »
I have one. Really fun to sail in the waves - I can't see it being a good flatwater board. I'm still adjusting to surfing it - I've found it very stable side to side, but I seem to fall off the back a lot when paddling into waves, which I'm guessing is the shorter length and the additional rocker compared to my Element. Fun board - I'd definitely recommend it.

Wind Powered / Re: sup/windsurf combo around 10ft+« on: August 25, 2010, 04:22:59 PM »
my experience with the whoppper was that it was super stable, but it was so wide that it took tons of effort to make it move at all - i was missing waves that i should have caught because it was so much work to get up any speed. i'm currently on a sb element (9'8") and an 8'5" ahd wassup - both good boards, although the 10' ahd sounds like it's more your speed.

I agree with PonoBill on (almost) everything. Definitely get an RDM. I don't use Euro pins, but I can see why they'd be worthwhile. I like the "soft" feel of Super Freaks, too, but I still use monofilm sails on my short board. Unfortunately, living in San Diego, I don't get to use my short board very often!
My only differences with Bill are sail size and CF booms. I almost never sail anything bigger than a 5.8. Anything bigger than that and I feel like I lose maneuverability and I bury my clew in the wave face too often. I am a bit smaller, though. I also think that carbon booms may not provide much incremental benefit for the price for low-performance sailing like this. If you're interested, I have an '09 SF that I only sailed once and would sell a a pretty decent discount off retail. It's a 6.3, so it would probably be a better size for you than for me. Also, check out the Classifieds on iwindsurf.com. Also, HSM has used sails on their website, including my old 5.5! 13

Well, if anyone wants a good deal on a slightly used, hand-shaped Blair, I've got an 8'10" for sale!
