Haven't ridden them but did see this sale going on if you are in the US:

I guess Zane was getting questions about his foil setup so he posted this... highlighting production Starboard gear...

Ahh... makes sense, Piros.  Took a look through the links.  Interesting that Zane has the front wing out of the water in his carves.  The medium aspect wings seem to handle this as well as the high-aspect ones and seem very surfy...

Drool!  Well the question is whether the wife could tell the two apart if they weren't side by side... ;)  Does Go Foil use a US distributor?  I always figured they had a two-tier system...

Was watching Zane's latest Vlog and noticed he is riding an AK Foil as seen in this photo:

Anyone heard of these?  Do they make the Starboard foils?

@Ponobill:  Thanks--that sounds right.  One of the kids in a video from the Go Foil event mentioned the 120 and I wasn't sure if I heard it right.

@Beasho: Will look forward to your review of the 140.  Love the 180!

Alex was out yesterday on some mushy harbor waves with a wing that looked ridiculously tiny. I don't know what it was. I can't find the video on Youtube, just MyFace

If this is the same one that was posted to Facebook, it said that Alex was testing a new longer mast and smaller front wing.  My read was that it was a prototype smaller than the 140 but I could be wrong...

This one says Alex is testing longer mast with smaller front wing. Hmm...

Not sure if I saw a date you are coming out, but feel free to PM if you head further North.  I wouldn't mind bringing an extra board out for a session.  Have a couple nice ones that should meet your needs as if I recall correctly, you use about the same volume boards as me.  In addition to Nikau Kai, Sports LTD in Woodland Hills may have some older stock or used boards (no Infinity boards though) that may fit your criteria for a board to bring home.

Yep, and I'm glad I waited a bit before making the jump to the GL, because when they first introduced them, I was positive that I'd need the 210 to get me going...but just got the 180 two days ago, and it's an absolute BLAST!!!

Not sure if I'll ever need the 140 given the mostly smaller mushballs I surf in at SanO (rarely even head high the majority of the time), but who knows...I never thought the 180 would have got me flying as easily as it does. So fun!!  ;D ;D

Isn't the 180 awesome!?!?  Interestingly, Dave Kalama does say he uses the 140 in almost all conditions... just had to adjust his foot positioning and style a bit...

Your video looks amazing, Clay!  A huge step forward in reduced distortion from previous 360 cams.  I responded to your post in the foil group on Facebook too but it would be amazing if you can share a picture of the mount you are using.

Pretty Compelling arguments being made for the GoFoil GL 140.

I had thought it might be too small.  Dave Kalama loves it (listen to Progression Project podcast).  James Casey loves it (

Then there is this guy - Eddie Ogata ...

Agree!  Talking to one of the folks down here, it sounds like it has more than enough lift.  James also mentioned it would be a great quiver addition, when I was telling him the conditions I use the 180 and when I go back to the IWA (punchy and peaky).  But I am also wondering what new wings were shown in Maui. From the Breeze:  "- GF has a bunch of new wings and equipment landing soon" expanded to: "Mainly tail wings. Then some new front wings will be added, pedestals."
