Thanks for the tip, I'll give Craigslist a shot then!

I went with a 14'x24.5" Allstar hybrid. I got a 2018 from paddle surf warehouse out in California for $1749 with free shipping and a board bag, price was too good to pass up! I gather the 2019 only has minor design tweaks, and would cost me a lot more. Not ideal that they're on the other side of the country, but I've had great experiences with them.

Hi, selling my board because I bought a new Starboard. The board is made by Riviera and shaped by Ron House. It has a bamboo core. I purchased this as a demo board for $1500 from Riviera in 2012. Its a great flat water cruising board - very stable, nice glide, quiet, decent speed, no rocker. It has the following wear & tear (all shown in the pics):

* Typical paddle scuffs on the rails

* Two (2) tiny bumps in the exterior on the bottom. I'm guessing due to excess heat from direct sunlight. The bumps are exactly the same as they were when I bought it.

* Small ding that I repaired several years ago with a board repair kit, then subsequently tapped over to make it bomb proof.

I live in Southern NH and prefer not to ship.

Thanks for the info! The extra volume must help. I'm gonna go for it, I got quoted a good price, especially compared to what I'd pay for a new 2019 next year.

Gear Talk / Starboard All Star 14x24.5 stability?
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:46:20 AM »
Hi,

My wife has a 12.5'x24.5" All Star that is a little too tippy for me (not by a huge amount, but definitely crosses the line to too tippy). I'm eyeing a 14'x24.5" All Star. Anyone tried both who can compare the stability of these 2 boards? I'm assuming the extra length and volume helps?? I weigh 175 lbs and have a 12.5' Bark Contender now, which is stable enough.

Considering rolling the dice on buying a board without trying so I can take advantage of end of the year sales!

Thanks!
