The Shape Shack / High density inserts« on: September 27, 2007, 07:48:29 PM »
Maybe some of you EPS shapers or owners of EPS boards can fill me in on this:
When is it necessary to use high density inserts for fin boxes in EPS foam? All the hand made epoxy paddle boards I've seen didn't look like they had foam inserts in the boxes, is it only needed in 1lb EPS blanks? 3
Gear Talk / Board Sock« on: September 16, 2007, 05:25:55 PM »
Anyone know if a longboard sock would fit over a 26" wide paddle board? Anyone try a board sock on a standup?
Lookin for an inexpensive bag that will just keep the sun off, I don't really want to custom order somethin. Thanks 4
The Shape Shack / Home Depot EPS ?!?!« on: August 22, 2007, 02:25:21 PM »
Any one seen the EPS foam sold in Home Depot? It's used for insulation in buildings but apparently guys on swaylocks are using it make epoxy boards. Has anyone here done this or know the major differences between insulation EPS and the stuff pros make boards out of? I don't see why EPS blanks are so expensive and this Home Depot foam is so cheap..

The Shape Shack / Diamond Tail?« on: August 18, 2007, 06:50:04 PM »
Many of the SUP boards have diamond tails, from what I heard they are supposed to make the board feel shorter by giving them a smaller turn radius... Is this correct? Anyone care to elaborate?

SUP General / Blane, any production boards smaller than the 9'2"?« on: August 14, 2007, 05:00:12 PM »
Hey Blane are there any plans for a production board smaller than your 9'2'' ? I keep seeing more and more boards show up all over the place and can't wait until some of the pop outs get under 4" thick and 27" wide. I think something a little smaller than the 9'2" lileo kinimaka board would suite a lot of the up and coming kids and people 150lbs and under.
