SUP General / Surfing w/ proners, Charleston SC style

We've  been getting waves from the latest tropical storm that fizzled so lots of folks were out.  My buddy snappjavascript:replaceText('%20:)',%20document.forms.postmodify.message);ed   his blade off and it hit a  proner. The proner sent his son  over to return the blade.  I wiped out and and as I'm  paddling back out another grom says "If it will make you feel any better, that wave was the size of your house."   

    My buddy said that a proner   was an a$$hole because he "jumped my wave"  but I don't know what  that even means.  I paddled close to the guy to  see if he had anything to say and he didn't. Our  school system ain't much but they learn early on  not to start stuff with guys carrying big sticks.

    Just so y'all don't think this is Mayberry-by-the-Sea,  I have to report a tire  slashing last week.  First I've heard about in 30+ years here.  Most of our hassles are about parking  between beachgoers and property owners.

Gear Talk / Creedsup Boards in SoCal

       Has anybody had any experience with creedsup bamboo boards?   They're on the wrong coast for a demo  but my wife is very  impressed with the weight and looks.  Prices   
look better than  Costco.   I  don't see any retail outlets except their home in Chula
