Sessions / "Lost Clips"

Ahhh i needed this. Just some clean SUP surfing and a groovy tune to get me in the Mexico mindset!
These are appropriate for #TBT as these are "Lost Clips" from 2013 and i was actually on this trip! For some reason they always seem to miss the designated drivers waves hmm 
I was just there for the tacos anyways.

There is a showing of the new SUP movie "converSESSIONS" this Friday at Infinity SUP in Dana Point.

Not many SUP vids going around as of late, so i am very excited to see this one! Dave Kalama, Colin McPhillips, and Dave Boehne... Filmed by Erik from Paddlewoo and the Progression Project and edited by Brent Deal (H2indo, H2Mexico, Chasing Gold etc)...

SUP General / Couple SUP Shapers Being Honored this Weekend

Pretty cool to see a couple legends being inducted into the International Board Builders Hall of Fame this weekend. Especially ones that embrace the "shape everything" mantra.

Steve Boehne (infinity surfboards / SUP) and Pat Rawson (Rawson Surfboards / Focus SUP)

The event is FREE to attend and is tomorrow Saturday at 10AM in Dana Point, CA at Doheny State Beach.

Here's a link to a write up on Steve and the event in the OC Register. It's a cool event with vintage board show and other happenings.

Maybe see some zoners there tomorrow?

Not sure if i am allowed to post links to other media outlets but Dave is my friend and i like it when he shares his SUP footage.

This is a little web series he is rolling out with SUP Magazine. This is episode #1 of 3 and will be releasing them one by one. I guess this is kind of an intro to his next big film project.

I don't know about you guys but i can't get enough SUP surf footage.  More footage the better!

Events / New SUP Film "H2Mexico" Premiere!

Can't wait to see the new flick. It's the sequel from "H2indo" put out a couple years ago...
same cast (baxter, patterson, boehne, trout, kalama, mitchel) and a couple new guys Gerry Lopez and Danny Ching.

It premieres next week here in California at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Apr 28 and May 1 hoping to see plenty of west coast "zoners" out in numbers to support!

SUP Magazine is holding the World Premiere LIVE broadcast of the new SUP Surf Movie "5UP P1RATE5"!

when: June 15th LIVE broadcast on www.supthemag.com airing at 5PM pacific standard time

for anyone in California, there will be a premiere party / showing in Dana Point the same night (more details to follow soon!)

This is the same weekend of the next US SUP Tour event at Churches. Should be a great turnout and a lot of fun! Hope to see some zoners there!!

The Reality-Adventure show based out of Canada "Boundless" just aired the latest episode featuring Stand Up Paddling and some recognizable athlete's from the sport... Pretty cool insight to the M2O race as well...

Hey zoners! Do you want to increase your SUP surf abilities in warm Costa Rican water?

This is the event for you!!!!!

I went to the one in January as Dave's assistant (my wife actually thought I was working, ha!), and it was amazing to see the progression in each and every participant. We had people that had never caught a wave before all the way up to a local guy that lived down there that already surfed really well, and every one improved, it was like night and day!!!

I had the same thought I'm sure many of you have, "hey, I'm pretty good, why do I need this camp?" Every professional surfer has a coach and videos their sessions, yes, even eleven time world champ Kelly Slater videos and works with a coach.

So if you are new to SUP, or if you are already ripping and doing a few contests or if you just want a rad SUP surf vacation you should take a look at this camp. For the guy (or gal) that's doing contests we can tailor the camp to your needs and run mock heats to get you more comfortable with surfing in heats (stress is a heat killer), and for the intermediate surfer we can get you ripping and turning heads on the beach.

It's all inclusive (except for air fair), seriously, you really don't even have to carry your own board. The owners of the camp have it absolutely dialed in!!! We surf empty spots with only turtle tracks on the beach, you get so many waves it's silly!!! I'll be heading down this June with Dave again (my wife still thinks I'm working, please don't tell her the real deal), I hope that I will see some or all of you there!!! Oh, the food is out of this world too!!!!

Just trying to see what you all think about drafting in a race situation. I have my own feelings about it and you'll probably hear them in a while, but for now I'll keep quiet as not to sway the vote.
