What does everybody use to keep the steering system wires from rusting? I have been washing it with fresh water but its stills surface rusting. Should I wax is with surf wax once its dry?

The Shape Shack / New board 9'3"

I started shaping my new board, I am not doing it at home cos of the mess. I keep forgetting to take my camera but I will do ths weekend. Its looking good. 9'3" X 29.75"X 4.25" quad. jEEZ hands off to custom board builders like PSH, a paddle board takes so much longer than a surfboard, mainly I guess cos I started with a foam block. I hotwired the first bit but played it bit too safer so its been a big job but its bnearly there. Thankfully I am not glassing it. Photos soon.

On the PSH website they are advertising new boards coming, 9'6" big guys, 9'8" and 9'10. Does anyone know the full dimensions?

Gear Talk / Aussies frothing over new Naish 9'6" Quad

Hey all,
A lot of aussies are just recieving the new Naish 9'6" quad. A couple of protos were doing the rounds and I can tell you these boards are high performance. I have not rode or seen the new PSH 9'3" ripper in Australia to compare but it seems here anyway Naish have got the jump. First shipment was sold out apparenlty. You guys in Hawaii or USA seeing the Naish 9'6" quads in stores yet?

G'day Blane,
I know you are busy but everybody loves talking about board design so I wondered if I could ask a couple of questiosn about the 9'3" ripper. I have a hand glassed 9'6" ripper and I wonder if you could tell me how the shape of the 9'3" differs? From the photos I have seen, the nose is more pulled in and the rocker at the nose is slightly more accelerated at the nose also. The tails seem similar but the 9'3", because of the shorter length and the wider width gives a curvier outline?
