What are the durable wing materials out there now. Just yesterday, my foil came down on the leading edge of my wing and put a 1/2 cut through the material. My bladder didn’t pop or bulge out so I could sail in. I don’t have sharp foils the edges are pretty dull, but just got my thinking that this contact shouldn’t have been too big a deal and shouldn’t have cut my leading edge.

Are there new materials out that can hand that kind of contact better. I knew Alula is light and stiff, is it also tougher to handle more contact?

I usually stop winging once the air temp goes below the upper 30’s, not because I am cold but because I don’t want to damage my wing.

Does anyone know or have experience with wings being damaged from getting iced up. I have mantis wings and I have iced it up once and I thought it effected the coating on the wing. So I usually stop once the wing is in danger of icing.

Can the wings handle that?

Looking for the best winging spots to spend a couple months in. I need to be in east coast time or central time for work purposes. I have family in the Tampa and New Smyrna beach, fl. Have never seen anyone winging in New Smyrna Beach, anyone wing there? Tampa seems to have a decent amount of wingers. Doesn’t seem to have much in the wave department.

Hi All,
I am running the RS1150 with the FTL 20” and it works great, no complaints. I have a Naish s25 75lt board and I have to run my mast all the way back in the tracks and my front foot strap all the way in the front holes. I want to move my front straps back farther to make it more comfortable to use my back strap, which is all the way forward too. I am thinking that either a FTS 14” or FTS 12” would allow me to move the front strap back more. Anyone out there using the RS1150 with either the FTS 14 or 12? Is the lift reduced using a smaller Stab?

Hi All,
Looking for some advice on my next purchase. I am 85kilo's with full wetsuit, booties, and gloves, currently ride a naish s25 75 ltr board, gofoil m200, and naish s26 6.0 meter wing, this setup is perfect for anything above 13 to 15 knots, but the board gets stuck in the water under 13 knots. I am looking for the best option to get going in that 10 knot range. I have a limited budget so I want to get something that gives me the most bang for my buck.

Would a higher volume board say 100 ltrs be the best, the gofoil gl240 foil, a more powerful wing, or inflatable board?

Also, I am winging in fresh water, with decent size wind generated waves.
