It seems 75% of the content is foil related now. Is it just me?

SoCal / Are PFDs being enforced in Dana Point?« on: July 07, 2020, 01:05:23 PM »
Hey crew,
Anyone have any recent data on whether or not Sheriff or anyone else is enforcing the PFD thing when paddling around the harbor or beyond? Thanks! 9

Need this to leave.
Condition is 9/10 due only to the fact you can tell that it's not brand new. Mint condition. Carbon construction. 4 fin boxes and a slider box in the center. I want less volume and shorter length. Located in CA, south Orange County, Dana Point. $1,650 (fins NOT included) I prefer cash or Venmo. PayPal would mean you pay me $50 more. 10
Classifieds / Infinity BLine Custom Surf SUP 8'10x29"x123L $800« on: September 15, 2018, 04:17:27 PM »
This is not a production board, this was a custom shape for an employee.
Asking $800. 8'10 is about 3" longer than my preference and 29" is about 1" too narrow for my preference, so this thing needs to go to a great home. I can handle 123L but I prefer when the deck is around 30-31"...I'm 6'6 so I'm not normal. Probably not for the beginner, but for someone looking to move up to a "performance" surf SUP and move away from your Chinese pop-out SUP that surfs like a canoe. I'm 225lbs and can surf this just fine...however, if you are less than that you're only going to get more stability and more speed on the paddle. This board can slide the tail if you're into that sorta thing...it really likes top to bottom maneuvers but can still cruise with style if that's the channel you're on. Price does not include fins or the Surftech bag, but we can negotiate. Higher res pics available. 11

SUP Gear Reviews / Newly Acquired / On Order / Coming out of the closet...« on: May 14, 2017, 03:12:55 PM »
After a job change, a huge schedule change, I couldn't surf almost at all, or exercise much.
Gained 20lbs or so...and not so suddenly all my custom Infinity boards in their volumes and dimensions...I just couldn't have as much fun. With a much smaller disposable income lately, ordering a new custom isn't in the cards right now. Found an almost new Naish Hokua X32 that I think we'll keep me surfing until I can order a new blade from the Infinity. Fingers crossed that it surfs as well and gives me the stability I was after. Forgive me, Dave! 13
Gear Talk / Another crappy paddle...« on: July 17, 2014, 02:18:15 PM »
My wife needed a longer paddle to use w her race board.
Found her a Quickblade SlimJim 100 on Craigslist. Tested it in the surf today. IT FLUTTERS. My experience: Kialoa = flutter Quickblade = flutter No name adjustables = NO flutter Werner = NO flutter Pleased don't talk about grip strength and limp-wristing as neither is in play here. Poor design is poor design. I'll be sticking with proven player with Werner. Still haven't tried the KeNalu. If it fluttered I would want to break it I'm half. 15
