Events / Hanohano Ocean Challenge Saturday 1/26/19

The Hanohano was the first mainland paddle event to include SUP in 2006. At one point a couple years ago there were about 400 SUP competitors and over 700 paddlers total. This year looks like epic SoCal weather and the 4.5 mile flat water short course is a lot of fun for novice and pros alike. The venue at Bonita Cove has a sandy beach and it great for demos. It's only $25 to enter and the shirts are always keepers. There's a great raffle too. I'll be there under the KeNalu tent with some display product and will be selling some greatly discounted new ULI Boards (the 10' Ponto and an 11' version). We'll have ULI branded leashes by Stay Covered for $15, and some great deals on 3 pc paddles, travel bags and pumps.

Real popular spot for flat water paddling but the tide swing at the full/new moon creates a strong current at I know it’s caught a couple experienced paddlers off guard. Events / Pacific Paddle Games week

Wednesday night there’s a SUP industry event at Dana Point YC and there will be a racers forum, pro autograph signing and dinner after.

SUP Awards used to be Thursday but now they will be Sunday after the race. Free entry for competitors.

This board is in excellent shape with only a couple minor compression dings from transport. It does not have the rudder fin but has a fin box.  All the steering components are removed and included and can be easily installed.  Priced at $650 for a quick sale and I will ship to the lower 48. Foil SUP / Straps yea or nay?

Hope to have a foil board ready in the next week so for a beginner what is the general opinion on footstraps?  Will be foiling soft slow-Cal waves and will try not to hit any sharks.
