Foil SUP / HA wings
« on: June 28, 2022, 11:53:20 AM »
Everyone says high aspect wings are for "more experienced" riders but never specify what that means.
We've been playing with a Lift 250 HA (Lift efoil) and it is more difficult in some ways.
I'm having trouble coming back down to the water from flying and submarining the board (and me).
When turning if the wing comes out of the water at all I go down (it seems).
Anyway, just curious to start talking about "What" makes ha wings more challenging.

SUP General / Fin into Deep tuttle
« on: June 11, 2020, 06:30:44 PM »
First hardboard and tuttle box.  How the heck does the fin go into this thing?  Can't push it in evenly, not even a little. Can insert front or back corner at an angle but then can't move from there.  What am I missing here?  Also in searching on this topic I see mention of 2 screws and my fin  (and board) only has one. ????

Classifieds / SlingShot SlingWing 4.2

Used 3 times in wind too mellow to count.  Like new.  $650 shipped.
Very HD, built to take a beating.  Perfect for ocean use I think.
Too small for our ultra light wind and heavier than it needs to be for our flat water and gentle breezes.
I need BIG and LIGHT.
If you've got a 6.0 and it's too big, lets talk.   ;D

Flatwater and Touring / Flat water 4 in 1
« on: October 15, 2019, 08:21:25 PM »
Looking for an all in one SUP board with foil and windsurf tracks.  Fanatic Stubby Foil 8'6" or maybe the F-One Papenoo which has two mounting positions for the foil, forward for SUP, all the way back for windsurfing.  Haven't seen another with that ability to this point.  But then I also don't know how much difference that makes in light wind, flat water anyway.  (Northern Indiana, inland lake)
Most reviews/videos focus on the boards surf ability.
Plan to wake surf it behind a jet ski to learn and then add the foil after I'm competent there. I really like the Neil Pryde Glyde setup. https://www.mackiteboarding.com/2019-neil-pryde-glide-kite-surf-foil-set/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw3JXtBRC8ARIsAEBHg4liZbzf18s687kiAHjiunMObxPUzjn235s4XIMdmIbK20cJCq3TwscaAhzOEALw_wcB
Ideally plan to wind or wing foil mostly once I can actually do it!  LOL
Anyone with any input?
