Events / Paddlers cup Gig harbor

The paddlers cup will have SUP ,Kayak ,and sprint canoe racing  April 28-29.
There'll be a 10k flat water race on Saturday.
Sunday, Sprint races in some  formats I haven't tried yet but sound fun ,200 meter knockout sprints,800 meters with 3 180degree turns ,Whats not to like!
Plenty of cool vendors and sponsors 
Did I mention 32 dollar entry fees. For two days of racing.
Then come back for Thursday SUP Beer can Racing with the boats.Thursdays at 6 in May.
Perfect tune up races for Ross Island Races in late May and June!

I weighed a foam pad. @2.2 lbs
1/4 " thick x 72"x18"  1/4 cubic ft??total?
Has anyone measured this .Or have a good guess

Regional / North west Downwind

I try and do DWs around Gig Harbor Sundays and Mondays.Around Brownsville the rest of the week,before 11 and after 5 (tough schedule)
With the severe lack of wind on Puget Sound Usually DWs turn into Where can I paddle with the tide .
I have a number of Routes I  Paddle That start or end at GH or Brownsville so Shuttle and launch is easy.I have some Bike / paddle routes in mind that might be fun to try too.
I'll post paddle times and routes for NW paddlers.
Short notice casual paddles .
Flatwater Racing starts with daylight savings time Thursday evenings in Brownsville.
Don't forget our Adult Paddle Tuesday summer evenings in Gig Harbor!
