SUP General / What is wrong with this picture?

We have all seen newbies doing something backwards when it comes to surfing like waxing the bottom of the board. 

Sunday sitting with my family at the beach I look over and spot the big fin on backwards,  and when I mentioned this, my wife said all three fins are backwards of which I had missed.

I do not like the shaming that people have to endure when they do this so I thought I would politely point this out.

I had seen three women floating on this earlier so I went over to let them know they had got the fins in wrong.

I was told no this is the only way they can fit and that was the instructions given, when I tried to say that I have surfed for a long time the other person told me "well this is not a surfboard it is a paddleboard".
Anyhow I think I got the message to them but I cannot say they were pleased with it.

SUP General / I need some ideas on restoring my board.

I have a unique situation with my board.  Storing this board at my brothers beach house this board was placed near the roof of an uninsulated out building. So the area where there was a black strip down the middle heated up and melting the foam.

I am hoping I could get some ideas on how best to approach a repair.

What ever I do will be covered with a deck patch which I already ordered.

This is a new board never ridden but does come with a small ding.  Dims are 9 ft by 28 1/2  and 3 7/8 thick.

This is a great longboard ride and I hate to sell it but I have too many.  I used this about a dozen times surfs real smooth and it paddle well on the the lake. 
I am in NH but could be traveling this week trying to catch some of Jose so I could meet up.

I have this Naish Mana For sale and if you are looking for a board that surfs well but also is steady with some wind and cross chop this could be a good choice.  I only used it only three times so it is in very good condition.

SUP General / Rhode Island Surfer needs your prayers and healing thoughts.

Just got a text from Hawaii and a young surfer named Colin Cook was attacked by a shark on the North Shore of Oahu.  He lost is leg is now in critical condition in one of the trauma hospital  in Honolulu.  Apparently he moved from RI to live at the break.  So please lets put out some healing prayers.

SUP General / My 2015 resolution learn the square stance.

Look this is my first post so I hope it goes well.  For those who have not seen Luke Egan doing the Square Stance while supping you need to stop everything your doing and have a look.  Maybe then you can take the pledge and learn the square stance.


I have tried to embed the video but with no luck and I have to head to a New Years Party.
