I'm selling my Naish Javelin MC paddle board. It's a 14'x26" carbon fiber construction. This is a super fast intermediate/expert board. This is not a beginner board. Located in St. Petersburg, FL, but can meet within a reasonable distance. $1200 obo Shoot me an email at BrownNJ1@kw.com for quickeest response.

Anyone ever heard of these? I paddled a friend's tiny fish (prone board) yesterday and paddled a 7'x25"ish SUP today. I was pretty impressed with the SUP performance. I don't know the volume of the board, but it floated me no problem despite looking as thin as the 7'4" Airborn I brought out. It looks like a SB 7'1" Pro or Naish Hokua LE 7'3" shape-wise. Very short-board inspired.
I've actually never seen or heard of these. The guy I switched boards with apparently has more than a few of his boards and has been paddling a 6'11" SUP (carbon) and has nothing but good things to say about them.
Ahlers is supposedly out of the Ocala, Florida area.
I'll hopefully be getting his contact info in the next few days but wanted to see if anyone here had experience with these?

I don't know if I'm crazy for even considering it, but I'm think about stepping down in size again from my 7'4" Airborn to the 7'4" Pro. I paddled a friend's new 7'7" Pro and didn't have any issues. The 7'7" is an inch narrower, but more overall volume and almost felt chunky. My Hokua 8'3" felt about the same stability wise as the 7'7", but feels faster down the line. The 7'4" Pro would be a fairly noticeable step down in width and volume. (85L/28" for the Airborn and 78L/25" for the Pro) I'm teetering on the edge of what will float me, but I'd imagine the on wave performance is better. This is for Florida waves. I tip the scales at 72kg. I have zero issues with the Airborn, just looking for something better. Grass is always greener.

I'm looking for a longboard style sup. Sounds easy enough, however I don't want 30"-33" wide, 4"+ thick, etc.
Does any company make a 9'-10' long (preferably closer to 9'), 25"-28" wide, low volume longboard style sup?
I'm relatively light guy and don't need the massively wide, high volume, cater to the everyman type board.
I've looked at a few online, but I can't get past the 30"+ width.
My short surf sups are down to 25"-28" wide with barely enough volume to float me, but perform great on the wave. I'm sort of looking for the same thing in a longboard style sup.
I looked at a King's Knight 10'x30"x4" which I may get if my search comes up empty. Does one exist?

So I expanded my quiver to add a used Javelin MC 14'. On my 12'6" Javelin I used either the stock dagger style fin or the FCS Spitfire. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two. I also tried the stock dagger and Spitfire on the 14' with seemingly little difference. I generally get 8-12 strokes per side before switching unless I'm dealing with side chop/wind. I paddle mostly in the ocean with both boards (but I do some inland shallow areas too), so I am always dealing with side chop/wind. Stability isn't an issue with either board. I would like some recommendations for a smaller/less tall fin. So far I've looked at the Danny Ching, Futures Keel and JB Keel, and have been looking at the Larry Allison line. While I don't think I need a weed fin for kelp, I did experience a drogue chute in the form of seagrass last week. This was 4 hours away from where I normally paddle and is definitely not normal in my area. What say you experts of SUPing? I'm tapped out at 5.2mph average speed in my normal conditions which generally mean some form of headwind/chop there and some form of tailwind/chop on the return trip. I want to go faster, will a small fin help with it? FYI, I have been doing GPS time trials with a QB V-Drive 91 and Kanaha AC 100. Both gave me the same average speed with the higher perceived effort going towards the Kanaha.

So I already have the sickness and am looking at the various boards for my future wallet draining. I've looked at a bunch of different boards trying to find one that I like as much as the Javelin series. But I haven't found one yet. I like the SIC X 12.6, and the Jimmy Lewis Stiletto and U-boat and a few customs like BlkBox, but have never seen them in person or known anyone who could compare them for me. Right now I paddle a 2012 Javelin (carbon) 12'6"x28.25" and love it. I use it for flat water and ocean paddles, and the occasional surf session and also race with it in flat water and ocean. I just wish it came in a 26" width. I don't have any stability issues out in the ocean swells unless I'm not paying attention and get smacked by a good roller. My main concern at this point is board durability. With the LE being so light, is this at the expense of durability when compared to the GX model? I was leaning towards the Javelin LE but not sure if it would be durable enough for daily paddles/transports/etc. So I guess the simple question is the Javelin GX more durable then the LE? I'm 5'9" and 165 pounds.

I may be in the Hollywood/Pembroke Pines area next weekend. When I used to live down there I would always go diving off Pennekamp Park and dive the reefs.
Anyone know of a good place at the park to see more than just mangrove swamps on SUPs?
I'm bringing my wife (isn't dive rated) so were thinking about SUPing to somewhere that we could snorkel and still see a lot.
For that matter, I used to dive off Hollywood beach, but the reefs were pretty minimal and lifeless compared to Pennekamp. Is there a good spot to see a bunch of see life from SUP/snorkel?
Thanks

I am looking for one with speed stats (fastest/average/etc. Also thinking it should have trail of waypoints dropped automatically so I can review my route, on google earth or some other similar program.
Mile marker announcements would be nice.
I'm going cross eyed looking at all the equipment or apps to choose from.

Hey guys, I thought I'd drop a post introducing myself. I'm a long time surfer that got into the SUP scene this year and I love it. I started on a NSP cocomat 9'2" for surfing and immediately starting thinking of getting a flat water/race board. I'm a gearhead, so I pretty much want to go fast regardless of what I'm on/in. I've been lurking here for a while trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible and just got a couple year old Naish Javelin to quench my speed thirst.
Looking forward to pick your brains in the future.
