We just added a potential new date for an ASI SUP Instructor Certification on May 17th in Hood River, Oregon. We have had several inquiries from around the PNW so here's your chance. Events / Cold Stroke Classic 4th annual re-cap

Had a blast this year.  Hats off to Jeoffrey and his whole crew at Coastal Urge for putting on another epic race.  The conditions were Insane and over 30 racers DNF'd including lots of Elite's.  Many fell and watched their boards blow away so the Coast Guard and the Sea Tow guys were busy:)  Thanks to my Ke Nalu paddle and the Starboard Open Ocean 14' in AST I was able to secure a podium finish.  Thanks to all my sponsors including Teva (I wore my Gnarkosi shoes with bootie socks and they worked killer).  I hope it didn't discourage too many, but it was blowing 30+ at the start of the race and in some sections you had to fight the wind and 3-4 knots of current. I again commend Jeoffrey for getting safety into place and actually not pussing out on starting the race, many RD's would have postponed for better conditions.  However it was Gnarly!  I could only get 3.5 mph on gps with max effort in these ares, but hitting high 7's and max speed of 7.9 for the downwind legs which made it super fun.  130 racers registered with lots of folks from Puerto Rico and some coming all the way down from the NE.  Stoked

Sessions / Oregon Coast Overheadand EPIC!

Had a couple of insane sessions along the Oregon Coast at a few choice spots over the last 48 after the OOO (Oregon Open Ocean races).  It was unusally glassy and with a combo swell of 7ft  it was macking!  The new Starboard 7.11" in brushed carbon is Unreal!  Its gotta be under15lbs and the twin 4.5's with a 3 inch center seemed to work quite well.  Totaly stoked to have been out there with only one other bro and bunch of big Fish.  I could feel them
