Dear Chantix..... As one of the leading online discussion groups of Standup Paddleboarding, we really applaud your healthy-living surfing turkey. The Bronco, and the house are very stylish, and the board is really sweet. We very much agree with the message of a healthy lifesytle, but please understand that encouraging paddleboarding to your target audience really should include wearing a leash. Especially for novices heading to open water! Please consider a small digital change to the ad, and put a Leash On The Turkey !!!!!https://www.ispot.tv/ad/oKul/chantix-paddle-board-turkey

In part spurred on by this forum, and in part as a foil exploration i converted an old kids sup into Frankenfoil.
Design was for mostly wavefoil sailing / sup....The board was just lying around....now my kids just borrow mine, and that board really was never right for them anyway
Too much rocker, but i knew i could paddle it, and up haul it

Pono , jrandy or other....
Were you saying that EPS sheets can work well as a breather layer? I have plenty of 5/16 sheets lying around. Was using quilting material, butthe eps is tempting as easier to work with maybe
If so, can it wrap rails and angles?.... Obviously when it's dry it just crumbles when flexed, but i guess it can make some bends when pulled down

Wanting to change to a flatter rocker on a conversion to foilboard
Planning to tack a divinycell wedge (to flatten rocker) down to the sanded existing skin, and then vac it down with a covering layer of carbon/glass
Was going to tack it with maybe just contact cement spray ...or gorilla glue as the strength will come from the new skin....just need it steady while fairing it
Stripping the pre-existing bottom skin would save weight, but then I'd have to fair up a bigger mess with more pockets and tack the diviynicell to beat up foam
Thoughts? TIA

Need a center fin that's slightly larger than any available Futures (maybe 6")
Have plenty o fins, and thinking of cutting/grinding one down to a Futures insert template.....
Can live with the thought that I might blow out the box.
Any thoughts suggestions tips?

Leash plug pulled out....swam with the paddle again.... I am getting used to swimming with the blade first, and trailing the handle..................... counter- intuitive ......It's still a pain i the ass, but easier to stroke with, and then if you get a white water boost, it is MUCH easier to use as hand plane body surf, and gain ground Vs trailing the blade Last time i did it, was almost by accident. This was a consious decision, and i will use this from now on Short paddle and small blade help Plug was on Laird hybrid....the epoxy does not appear to have penetrated the shelf on the plug, and may have been dropped in too late during the cure Hope you don't ever have to try it

Emotional ones...
Just wondering how big a factor this is for the rest of you guys...
It was such a run of great surf on the East Coast for the month of September, that I really am having a bit trouble re-orienting to normal life....I am getting it done, not depressed, but definitely disoriented
There are some areas where swell events have a predictability, but especially with Maria, breaks here were firing like they never have, and may never again.... consistently, for daze
I suppose it will pass...I windsurfed yesterday in some pretty fun "Normal" conditions.
The other thing that I was trying to pay attention to this year was the adrenaline washout which seems to hit me mid session on bigger days...you get all pumped and twitchy, but then after a few waves, the rhythm establishes itself, and somehow it can seem like a letdown no matter how good it is.
I guess I'm just grateful, but fascinated at all of the emotional aspect of it... I feel like I should change my perspective a bit
I do plan to go south this winter to do a little rebuilding.....I shoveled plenty of mud on Staten Island after Sandy, and it helped

Well, Our own Mr Big ....Who was found face down in the water ...what a year or two ago?, with CPR revival....pacemaker and defibrillator now :in place, had another "brush" this am:
Mid tide plenty of light, and the shark picks him as the first bonafide attack of the 2017 season....Kicking off a Cape Cod media frenzy
Dude has a degree in Theology...must have gotten straight A's !!!
Get's a Wall- Hanger out of the deal too !!!!
I tried to surf Marconi this pm.....get there as the tides dropping....5 news trucks in the parking lot, and it would have been painful to try and dodge the media to get some knee high, so i went to another break
Biggie...Don't sell yourself short....you get 15 minutes of fame.....! $10,000 per Entertainment tonite type interview....Have them fly you to the Today show I'll be your agent

Well...it will be interesting....between the tide, pulse, and the wind
I think I usually am pretty good with picking wind windows, but the models make the Rhody Vs Home debate a big one for tomorrow with a few hours, and a few mph making or breakin
Just don't spend the day driving and wondering!
Carnage to be had ... glad to be out of the knee high category
