The Shape Shack / Inserts. Could I use Balsa or Bass Wood Instead of Divinicell?

Hi, Im about to dig into a new wing board, this one will have foot strap inserts.  I can't get small scrap pieces of Divinicell and buying a big sheet and paying for shipping is out of the question, however I could get small balsa and or basswood blocks which I would route and glue inserts into then insert into the foam.  Anyone else doing this and how did it turn out?

Wing covers, bag, titanium hardware and wrench
Everything is 100% working order with a few nicks and scratches, nothing more than cosmetic, most noticeable on the 1200 less to nothing on everything else. Foil SUP / Liquid Force Happy Foil For wave SUP.

Has anyone used or heard of a Liquid Force Happy Foil successfully being used on a wave SUP?    If not, any recommendations or wing templates templates that would work.  Could I just build an increased version of the existing mid aspect wings.  I've seen the Kings set up but I have the materials, tools,  skills and desire to build wings. The Shape Shack / 7'10" Vangard Tomo inspired garage build

7'10" x 30.5" x 4.25". Around 115- 120L. 14lbs, carbon under ash deck patch.  Had it out in weak knee high glass.  Very fast and loose.  Should be awesome in bigger conditions.
