Pretty sure he is jumping in at the slab they call Ours. Less then half the waves are made leading possibly back to the same spot. Crazy bunch that try to surf it.

Technique / Re: Is it cheating to sit down in choppy conditions?

Exactly. Just keep up the stoke and do not mess up anyoneís wave.

My local sandbar has lined up this spring producing a nice left point.  Since being let loose, it is the only spot I have been surfing. Through social media I guess, the once quiet breaks current perfection is attracting the hotties from up and down the coast.

So yesterday it really lit up.  6-8í, very strong direct offshores and a strong current running south into the pit.  Big tubes like out of your dreams if you could get into them.  Only 2 waves in 2 hours but they were some of the best of my life.

But you know what, I couldnít sit down. You had to constantly paddle to remain in position.  A few times I prone paddled to give the body a break. The paddle back out was about 100yds and alot of water moving around and a low volume short board.
I might even have Pocahontasíd a bit on the inside in the turbulent rip.
Who cares. Keep surfing.

Today 3-5, light offshores and less current. Longboard and probably more than 30 waves.  Still had time to sit and chat.

Low volume or high volume, surf stoked and good vibes spread.

Any of those is fine. All fine shapers.

For what you want not too rockered and the rest wonít matter too much.

I have a 10' log, thick full railed cruiser to catch anything from a ripple up.
Also a 10í longboard gun for the big stuff and a thinned out 9íer with lots of rocker for chasing the hollow and fast ones.

See longboards can vary a lot as well.

Dude, dude, dude.  Yes, wet and carving off the top.
Thanks for the stoke.

It is the little things that become huge when out of reach.
We hope to get ours back this week too.

Nice, that is your ripper board I assume.

A world of difference from and a short time since your first board and vids.

The wearing of the mask is to protect the other person from your possible infection. You have not been tested for antibodies and may be a carrier.
You can have no symptoms, feel fine and spread. This is the primary reason for public mas use.

I would not call not wanting to wear a mask free thinking.  You basically do not give a crap about those around you.

This is simply selfish behavior.  Not some narsistic ideal of being a free thinker.

We are trully a strange form of animal species.

Colorful graphs and dry numbers.  Any empathy here?  ďOne for all and all for oneĒ?

My buddies and family in NY are describing a very grim ambiance.

Tracking with Germany?  Are you just in the numbers and missing the drama being experienced by your countrymen?
Germanyís non partisan built up and extremely robust healthcare system is the reason. They were ready.

As far as the data available, I know from my friends experience that they are not testing or accounting.
And now I have read that there is significant under reporting of virus deaths due to the lack of testing.

Sorry to jump back in but the high side estimates plus follow on corona related deaths and we are talking 2,000,000.

My buddy just recovered after a 2 week fight in NY. No hospital admittance since he could still breath. He went 5 times. No testing either.

He is 59, non smoker, occasional drinker and no other comormidity factors.

Some days he thought he was going to die.

Our curve has flattened, we are at the peak. That is because of the lockdown. From here positive directions.

I have seen maps of google location movements. And of flight tracking. You guys are still moving a lot!

If you say you say you are going surfing, another guy does something else. You still have a lot of movement and keep spreading.
You will keep a steep curve like this.

Thank you Dan. It is nice to hear reasonable voices on the Zone.

Back in my home town of NYC there is a war going on.  It may be far away for most, but where is the unity.
They may not be your neighbors but they are your countrymen.

And here on the Zone there is a new version of the flat earth society evolving. Humans can cover a wide spectrum, unbelievable.
I guess fear can manifest itself in unusual ways.

Beautiful work!  I guess you can really concentrate on a project these days. This is the kind of content that makes the Zone a welcome refuge.

Thank you.

I am sorry for terrorizing you. She was healthy, no known weakness.  This the contrary story to what is being told.

You want me to post all the data I see here?  You want to hear all the numbers?

Are you than not terrorized?
