Thanks Cook for helping me keep up the stoke. Very nice vid with great chill tunes.
The solo shot really does the job well when it works.

In a funny different way I love winter surf. Summer is of course tops but the winter is a another flavor. Of course it is mostly the smaller crowd which is more of a brotherhood in the winter. And after a good session there is more feeling of accomplishment than in the warmth of the summer.

I have found that by getting lots of quality rubber on and remaining warm before the session are the keys to keeping it fun and doable.

Thanks LB for sharing the early dawn wave moments.

The magic is a joy. And for sometimes it is the only way to get the spot uncrowded.

Those are some cool drone shots. A fresh vantage point.

Yes the North Atlantic is alive and well as the fall begins!

Thanks for the share. Very nice boards, a flat water glider is still just a dream for me. Beautiful water shots.

The box mounted on the back door of my van was initially for cadac bbq and propane storage.  Actually I have mostly been using it as wet wetsuit storage and drying spot.
Though the suits eventually dry, I have found that the function of moving the smell and humidity of wet wetsuits outside very handy for van life.
A planned further addition of a exterior bar on the box’s door will better the drying action when conditions allow.

Thanks, relaxed viewing with the empty lineup and the beach sounds.
Funny how the lighting looked hot summer but your wetsuit says something else.

59, only due to union rules. Could have kept it going but decided for free time. Six months later the virus hit. Clobbered and still clobbering my old industry.
Dogged the bullit.

I love it, best time of my life. The financial platter requires adjustment. And exceptantes.
But I feel lucky and enjoy all the ‘free’ stuff.

So I just deposited my 7 in Davy Jones locker. Seems like the newer models have some nice advances with stabilization and battery.
For use with a mouth mount what advice can any of you fellow video’ers send my way?

Thanks for all the supportive comments. So happy to share my stoke.

You are right Bean, the spot filled up for sure as the day progressed. As the summer deepens it will get rarer but the visitors deserve some fun as well.

Thanks Creek, you are THE inspiration.

Thanks DuskPatrol, it is humbling to think of you at work taking time to view my vid. But stoked to hear it spread some grind relief.

Thanks NightWing. I have a series of cutaways, 7 8 & 9inch that I fin up my longboard with.  I picked them up in Santa Cruz CA and the are designed by an ex longboard champ? surfer named Wingnut. I love how the narrow base keeps them loose while the hatchet tip holds no matter how hard I lean into a turn.

And surfercook, thanks for the poem, very cool.  That board you showed has a fun shape. Back in the day I had in the daily board mix a 5-10 LocalMotion twin fin and a
10’ GreekEliminator 1960’s noserider. I definitely enjoy having a large volume difference between my short and long boards.

Sessions / Some room to play
« on: June 28, 2022, 12:56:04 PM »
Just turned 62 and I feel gifted to still be healthy and surfing. Summer season is upon us over here and to freshen things up I have gone back to single fins for the longboard.
This is the 7inch, smallest from my collection. Just the minimalist size to keep it loose in the small swells.
As I hit it early that morning, the 2 peaks were already filling up. Walking towards the less populated one I noticed an lesser but empty wave in between the two.
