Foil SUP / Tutle box? Counter sink?

My Tuttle box seems to be different than others I’ve seen.  It appears that my mounting hardware has to sit on the deck of the board.  I have another newbi Foiler that swears if I just drill it out there is another plate that will allow me to counter sink the hardware.  His box counter sunken, I really don’t think mine is?

Thanks guys!  Got the maliko new maliko 200 and the Iwa, it came with the shorter mast.  A friend of mine bought the taller mast and was able to put his wings on it.  Just wondering if he was lucky or is this possible for me too?  I would definitely love to not overfoil!✌🏽

Debating on a new board or a new foil, need some advice from you guys:

-I weigh 230 and have a 7’6” TV dinner 140 L & the original maliko 200. 

-I want to get a Kalama or JL board, but am thinking I need to get a smaller foil.  Do you guys think the maliko 200 will be ok for the next couple months, should I get a JL 7’5” or Kalama 7’ or go shorter to 6’10.  Geeze so much new information and I don’t Know any foilers in New Smyrna Beach... 

-I was landlocked four years and just started foiling a few weeks ago.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Just rode the 10' SV. in 3' foot surf yesterday and had a blast.
By far the most stable, loosest and best paddler of the three boards.
I have a 9'6" all arounder and had a 9'6" WR I will be doing whhat I can to get a 10' SV.  I also wiegh 230 and 5'11".  Board feels like it will rip in anything from anlkle slappers to double overhead.  Great board and will work in windy mush to offshore juice!

Here in Texas the only Guys who have started Sup'ing are older experienced surfers.  There are some who flat water paddle but they never go out when the surf comes up.
Every one is always freindly, as long as you SUP w/ Aloha.
Kito
