You could loop up the leash and tuck it into the back of your board shorts (like Laird when surfing), thats if you don't want to use a coiled one. They work fine for me and I can fall on a regular basis some times.

Hey PDLSFR,  i just saw your post, just removed a deck pad on one of my boards yesterday/today. think this was the third time i've done it and by far the easiest way.  - peel off as much of old pad as possible without worrying about left over adhesive,  then cover the area of the board where adhesive is with old towels and soak with turpentine. I then wrapped a tarp around it and left it overnight.  then with a plastic scraper/spatular could get pretty much all the old adhesive off.  then ,with gloves and a few clean rags used acetone to wipe whats left away. having done it before using heat guns and goo gone and elbow grease this method worked really well for me.  good luck.

Nice numbers Creek,  do you write this down in a journal after every session ?
 All I know is I didn't go enough to satisfy meself. Two wks in CR in February should get the ball rolling for 2014.

CRTraveller - hi.  i'm headin down there on feb 2, gotta do some work on a friends house just south of playa negra, but love to hook up for a session.  maybe you can advise- is it worth renting a board for two wks, is it possible ?!
