What's da back story there please? 🏄‍♂️😎🤙

Not much of a story…just riding waves in LAVAlette! I’m a newbie in that I’ve been at this a few years. Most days are on my 10’ fanatic Stylemaster, with cleaner/steeper days on an 8’7” custom with lots of rocker.

Hoping the fall is going to be just as good as the last couple of months. Going to miss the swell this week though!

I’m just north of you in Lavallette, so pretty much same conditions.

It’s been a fantastic summer of 2-3’ surf! Soooo much better than last year.

You are ripping on your boards, and always enjoy your posts. Keep them coming!

Nice video and riding!

Conditions might improve in NJ at the tail end of next week.

What board were you on?

Water is plenty warm now in NJ, but no surf! Has been flat the last week with no end in sight. Bring back the cold water and swells!!

Great video! Really enjoy all the videos you put out there. Helps a novice like me who is trying to put it all together.

I’m just North be of you in Lavallette. Have been out in the water for the last few years, but feel like I’m just starting to catch waves and ride them down the line.

Was another great swell yesterday and today with clean conditions and 3-4 foot waves…hopefully you got a chance to catch some as well.

Gear Talk / Re: Volume of new (to me) 9' Angulo Surfa?

Thanks Creek, Slider!

This is a big step down in vol for me... Started a couple of years ago on a Bic Tough Tec Performer (10' 6" x 31.5" x 4.5") 185 L. HEAVY board at 32 lbs, but was able to start going down the line this summer. No prior surf experience.

The Angulo is MUCH lighter and faster. The couple of sessions I got in my NJ shore beach break about a month ago were a bit challenging due to steep surf and some wind, but was able to balance ok in choppy conditions. Was only able to stay on the board on a couple of waves and that was riding straight to shore. Need some time on smaller, cleaner waves to get used to how nimble the board is. Excited for next season as I'm hoping to do a lot more turning with the Angulo!

Also, just noticed the pic of the underside is incorrect.. it's actually 4+1 setup. Starting out with a thrusters and a 8" center fin all the way back.

Hoping the Angulo will suit me well long term, as I'm 6'0" and 80kg. Planning on still taking out the Bic barge on tiny surf days.

Thanks again!!

Gear Talk / Volume of new (to me) 9' Angulo Surfa?

Great forum, first post.

Recently purchased a 2013 Angula Surfa (9', 31.25", 4"), but can't find info anywhere on volume. I think it's somewhere in the 130-140L range.
Anyone have this board?
