General Discussion / Re: Coanda Strips for iSUPs

Uli inflatable is probably the first company(no longer exist anymore) to come up with EVA foam hard edge for the rear.  I have demo both with and without and I can tell it makes a huge difference once its on the wave. The board is more lock in on the wave instead of sliding around.  I'm not sure how it would work on a wingfoil board through.

Same here still SUS, switch between short sup and longboard sup.  I'm trying to learn sup foiling so that things might change.

You can go the custom route.
I got a custom bag made from  I will said don't get it with mylar, my bag have mylar on one side and after a couple year the mylar is flaking off.  And the owner is pretty friendly and he can make whatever you want.

It even works with the paddle held backwards!
I don't think he even need a paddle at all.

I agree, its a used board with unknown condition that you can't verify.  Since you don't own the board, how do you know there isn't any damage on it and how can you claim its like new.

The Shape Shack / Re: Innegra question

Does anyone know any online supplier or local(SoCal) for 2 or 4 oz innegra?
I'm been thinking about using it for many years now and I'm building up a foil board.  I have bunch of 2mm cork sandwich material  and 2oz FG.  Thinking about using as sandwich construction with 2oz FG inside, then cork, innegra then 2x2oz FG on the outside.  I assuming i still need to cap the foil box area with couple layers of cf.

I saw this guy yesterday at my local foil spot.  He was catch the small bump way inside the rivermouth.  I was like wtf, what the hell is that thing.  Luckily someone was able to interview the guy who built it cause there isn't much info anywhere.  I surprised with the heavy batteries on the top that it doesn't flip upside down or maybe its self righting??

Found a bit more info on it:

Sam the Surfer, you are one crazy dude. Just finish listening to your interview with Eric and watch some of your chair foiling videos. Learn a lot, like the dipping the foil before hitting the jump.  Can't believe you did all that and hope you will go back for another interview.

General Discussion / Re: Surf Rig - How do you hide your keys?
« on: May 03, 2021, 09:41:33 AM »
Like what other people said have you try shielding your key with alu foil?  I don't have those type of key so I have no idea if alu foil will work but its a cheap option to test out.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.  So I'm planning to make my own track mount since I have the carbon and epoxy already.  But it's tuttle mount still been used? I wonder if it's worth making track mount detectable from the tuttle for resale value or just permanently bond the track mount on top of the tuttle. I guess the benefit is going to be easier to make the mount but loss the tuttle option?  Since like only GoFoil offer tuttle and most people are using track mount.

Foil SUP / Re: Learn on old foil or sell it and get low aspect foil?

Thanks everyone. I got a good deal on Gofoil IWA with Moliko rear wing, also it comes with kai front and rear wings too. It comes with 29.5 tuttle mast but i will need to get an track box adapter unless i install a tuttle box. From what i read, and for my weight I doubt I would ever use the Kai front wing. Should sell it?
and how about the rear wings, which one should I use and should I sell the other one that I'm not using.  Thanks for all your inputs.

;) I'm still a noob with the foil, forgot about the weight. I'm 175lb and my normal surf sup is about 85L.

I'll see how much I can sell the Naish for. I was able to lift the naish a few times until I broke my board. So Axis 900 is good option, what other brand/model? There is fanatic aero 2000 for sale locally, is that a good option too? All the different brand with different # is pretty confusing. thanks for all the input.
