How about the paddle?

New Quick Blade paddle advertisement says,
"We believe based on initial testing of the Stingray that it is so efficient it has increased boat traveling speeds by 1-2%;"
thoughts, or is that insignificant?

HaHaHaHaHa.. and when do they start shipping?

Gear Talk / Re: Tape on paddle handle (t-top) to improve grip.

It takes a while to work out the correct position for the lower hand and I recommend wrapping some white electrical tape around the lower and upper points where you think the grip should be.. Then go paddle to make sure you have the perfect position.. You will probably be moving those two bits of tape up and down a few times before you get it just right.. Iíve seen a few people get it wrong and find when they paddle hard like you do to catch a wave or sprint their lower hand is lower than where the grip is on the shaft defeating the whole reason for doing it.. That RSPro grip is so good and Iíve had mine on my surf paddle for years without and wear or lifting on the edges.. Itís also very thin allowing you to slide your hand over the edges without catching.. Last week I bought two more to use on other paddles.

No.. Jonathan is so light he doesnít need two.. The guy was much bigger and he was using both to get up foiling and then used the lower foil drive only once up.. Jonathan is using a foil drive on his new DW sup/foil board.. My vid didnít show the best of the event because I mostly filmed when quiet.. There was about 300 entered..

Iíd recommend the Kialoa Uhane.. Very light.. very durable.. and small blade size.
