That Board and design look great.
But that weight, 18-19lbs, seems kinda heavy. Was that with Pad and Fins? Did they say how much weight you could save going Carbon or lighter glassing?
Thanks

Curious if you've ever been on some of the similar production boards. The JP WideBodies, SB WidePoint or even one of the new Naish Hokua's they all are 32in wide. They are all around that same 8'2" length. Shorter Boards for Bigger guys. Would be interesting to compare these boards side by side.

Thanks for the info!

Shape looks sick. And I like the looks of the tail shape, but 'thick' tail is not something that I would normally think is good. Were you able to sink it? How much do you weigh? Can you compare this board to your experience on other short boards? Really appreciate the info!

It's Definitely Been Amazing. FRI and SAT were survival at sea for me. Pretty stormy, disorganized and for me, not that much fun. But ever since it has really cleaned up and been amazing. Seeing the Same things... Rescues, broken boards. Double dipped today with a 2hr morning sesh, and an Evening Sesh. Tonight Todd Bradley and his C4 supSquatch pulling into waves with 6 guys onboard. Classic.
A Friend took a few pictures of me this AM... But with the angle and the swell in front, not much of me is visible. But definitely DOH, and there were plenty verging on TOH. Size seems like its coming down a little but if it stays this clean...supposed to hang all week...Blessed.

Just saw a pic of Pono's new ride on fb. I'm very curious to know how these boards go in Hawaiian juice!

Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2

Mine(s) should be coming off the line any day now as well...
I'll be sampling in SouthShore Swells Soon.

Great report Boludo
I am curious to hear how your quiver usage will evolve.
Sounds like these Simmons inspired SUPs really excel in the smaller stuff.

With a tail that full, you probably don't have any cats.

Actually they have a remarkable ability to juke predators.
If they feel threatened, right at the peak moment they drop their tail.
As kids we used to try to get the common (brown) geckos that lived with us to pull that trick.
We used to give them to the girls in school.
Nothing says "I like you" like a Gecko tail

Any estimate on how much weight you saved by going CF?

Hmmm... There must be a post (or poster) on here who could help. I've either gotten it from a shaper/shaping program (aku) or manufacturer.

The Pocket Rocket design changed between '11 and '12.

Thanks Dan.
So no Design Change on the 2013 PocketRocket.
Look forward to seeing your Post Panama Reports!
Maybe you can put a bug in someones ear about 'mo bettah' writeups in future catalogs.

Ha!
Same thing on Oahu
Dropped of a 25lber deep on the windward side yesterday... We pick up today.
Long standing local family has been doing holiday imus for years.
We are 'Turkey 294' this year.
Have done a bunch of different meats in previous years.
But never Coconut Oil!
Talk to me
We have Coconut Oil and Butter stocked in da house,
But have always been pretty simple ... Usually (hawaiian) salt and pepper. Wrapped in Ti Leaves, then foil .
Is it a pretty pronounced flavor?

What about NSI (NorthShore Inc)
Their new product seems interesting
http://www.northshoreinc.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=28&idproduct=343
but no mention if it is closed cell.
Anyone have any experience or 411?
