Love the shape and looking good!

How would you compare or contrast this 8' Mongrel to your 8'4" Hipster?

+1, would like to know as well.  Checked their sites, but they don't show dealers in the states.

Gear Talk / Re: Infinity RNB vs Infinity New Deal?
« on: May 01, 2021, 05:52:11 PM »
agree- Also had a 8'8 RNB @ 215 lbs (at the time)   way too big for you.  It was even too big for me in full winter gear (132 L) as a shortboard

The RNB is an amazing all terrain shape.  if you ever get into some juice....you wont want the New Deal especially if this is your one board quiver.

If I may jump in on the conversation, would you consider the RNB a good (US) east coast beach break board?  (Assuming you are east coast from screen name).   Did you consider the B-Line at all? (I like the outline, but unsure if the rocker would make it too slow for east coast conditions unless it's really pumping).   And since you have th RNB, is the decked domed any or is it somewhat flat?

Thanks for any comments!

If you want simple/cheap until you know they will stick with it or if it is a passing fad.

From Seabreeze.

" Blane has freed himself up to be able to do his own line of customs in Hawaii.
He has always done customs in Hawaii, he just does them under his own label now.
Blane will continue to shape for Paddle Surf Hawaii.
Paddle Surf Hawaii moved to a new factory last year to introduce PVC Vacuum bagging into the range. It is hard to find factories that do this well, by hand.
Not long after the production of this factory got bought out by a larger company and we were unable to get boards for this season. Very frustrating for all!!
For those that managed to get their hands on the few boards that did come in (Hilly you fluked it!) it is evident that his new boards are at a totally new level.
His 10'6 ANY KINE is as loose as any of his Rippers!
These issues are being rectified and we apologise to all our loyal PSH customers..... and loyal you are!!!"

"Yes, Boardworks have their own factories and are finalisng the 2013/4 PSH range as we speak"

Taunt, the 2013 boards look sweet!  I know the main topic is about the 7'6, but could give a report on how the new 8'10 Mana compares to the 9' Hokua?

If anyone else can compare would like to here how the new 8'10 compares to the older 9' Mana.

Thanks!

I admit I know nothing about the sport and don't even follow.  But if they tested him hundreds of times, and didn't find anything (per L A's story), is the testing system flawed or what?  From the brief news briefs I read or saw, it sounded like the only evidence the USADA had was witnesses who say they saw him doping.  Isn't that just one persons word against another? Was that enough to prove him guilty?  If they found it in the tests, why don't they just say so instead of dancing around direct questions when asked about the evidence?  Just curious.

Don't know if they are selling rental/overstock, but you can check with the following:

Coastal Urge (Wilmington)
Carolina Paddle Board Co (Wrightsville Bch)
Surf House (Carolina Beach)
Triangle Glides (Raleigh) (these people are advertising a Demo sale on their website)
H20 Sports (Hilton Head)
Great Outdoor Provisions (Raleigh/Wilmington & probably elsewhere)

SUPing can satisfy most exercise needs, but for that little extra muscle growth stimulation I luuuv my kettlebells. As with SUP, kettlebells give you a whole body work-out; balance, cardio, strength...

You can easily bring your kettlebells outside if you wish, or you can do as my friend Glenn, and combine kettlebells with SUP for a double work-out (Do not try this on your favourite rigid board)

+1 for the kettlebells!  And yes safer on an inflatable SUP!

Welcome to the area!

I live in Raleigh, but do all my SUP surfing around Carolina/Kure Beach.    2 hrs door to door.

As NCSurfer suggested, check out Triangle Glides for the local scene.  Just keep your eye on Lake Wheeler if you go, as sometimes the bacteria levels in the water get high once in a while for some reason.

« on: December 11, 2011, 08:38:35 AM »
If you've been hurting for several weeks, you really should see a ortho doc or sports med guy.

I'm with bts on this one.  Go see a sports doc and get an MRI if you are having pain!  I lived with left shoulder issues for about a year.  I continued to work out and do all the sports I love. Then finally I finished it off and absolutely had no strength left in my arm and shoulder.  Couldn't get arm above shoulder height, painful sleeping at night, couldn't even manage a pushup without falling to the weak side.  MRI revealed the rotator cuff tear.

I'm 4 months post surgery (repaired tear and anchored back down to bone) and just getting back to "slightly" normal.  Even though I've been doing some light strength training for the past month and a half, it will take me a while to get back to where I was before when working out. I've decided to hold off a while longer before getting back on the board, that way I know my shoulder will be 100% ready.  This has been a much longer process than I expected. You need to prepare yourself mentally for the long recovery period if you end up having surgery!

To the other poster, sizes for all the Coreban product line are available at Coreban.com , no need to send email.

Can you give me the one foot off (tail and nose) measurements, please?  Not listed on site.  Any other information about the bottom shape (besides the nose concave) would be great as well.

Thanks!

Can't find much info on the Vibe.  Emailed Coreban to find out more about dimensions, but no reply.  Scroll down to the bottom of this thread, and you will find one person's review.
