Keep us posted if you can get a longer mast to work with the current wire bundle.

I agree with Piros - several of us have the eTakuma's in Seattle.  They are heavy but a blast to ride, especially in the waves.  One of my buddies has the Carver model which is a 5' 3" board which has a taller mast.  The taller mast makes a big difference riding in freighter and wind waves.  They are a cheaper foil than the Lift/Flite but I think a good starter board.  The Lift will probably me my next eFoil with the tallest mast they make and with the folding prop. I am betting the next generation efoils are going to be lighter.

Hi Kip - It all depends on the conditions.  Anything below 25 mph - I wear 2 mil pants and a long sleeve rash guard and a short sleeve water shirt.  Anything above 25 mph or so - I wear a 3/4 mil wetsuit. This is for 50 degree water in the winter time. Of course a pfd.  Been using a Vaikobe.  Great pfd.

Thanks for the report on the Naish.  I am SIC Bayonet rider and love that board.  Always curious to hear about other downwind boards.

Thanks for posting the video.  Looked like a great day.  How is the new Naish Maliko?

Hey Piros - how heavy is the Takuma eFoil compared to the Lift and Flite board?  Also - what are your typical flight times with the supplied battery?

I can see the channel between Evia Island and the mainland would create some big winds.  Another place on my bucket list to downwind. Thanks for sharing your videos.

I just tried the Lift Foil and it was amazing. Lift had a demo in Seattle and it was totally worth trying out.  It took me about an hour to get the balance and throttle control to start foiling.  I have very little foil experience (just experience in SUP downwinding) and found this way easier than being pulled behind a boat.  Starting off slow on your stomach, then moving to your knees and then standing was the trick.  Once you get the feel of the board and the hand control, it becomes a lot easier.  Amazing product Lift.

SUP General / Seattle Times Article on SUP Related Drownings

The Seattle Times published an article today about three recent drownings in the state of Washington.  Really sad - no leash or PFD.  The article never mentions the use of a leash for safety and only focuses on PFD usage.  It did make some good points on educating users.

Seattle Times published an article today on the recent three drownings in the state of Washington this year during stand up paddling.  None of the paddlers were wearing or pfd or leash.  Really too bad.  https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/life-jacket-lottery-3-have-drowned-while-paddleboarding-this-year-in-western-washington/?utm_source=marketingcloud&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TSA_072919232008+Paddleboarding-related+deaths+are+increasing.+Here%27s+how+to+stay+safe_7_29_2019&utm_term=Active%20subscriber
