Just a bit of fun in some lighter winds a few days back, Nothing better than foiling with Mates in the middle of the ocean. The guy i am foiling with is Ben Tardrew who is the designer of all our ONE boards.

That board looked awesome in the photo's. If I were still racing SUP's I'd buy one. I'd love to produce test data for that thing.

Never to late for a racing come back!!

Smart move Jacko: These guys are giving your product free publicity by taking the time to write screeds about it, but all you see is some imaginary slight, and so go off on one, just as you usually do in social media, thereby pissing everyone off and undermining your own publicity efforts.

Really, you should just try to roll with it, and try some charm, rather than raising your fists metaphorically at any comment that might somehow be (mis)interpreted as criticism. Chill, mate. The whole world is not out to get you. See the bigger picture.

Haha i think you have been on the forms long enough to know i can never Zip it when maybe most would ;D I gave up trying to be that kind of guy along time ago and now it is kind of what you see is what you get but i like it this way as there is nothing to hide and people either like it or don't. I never get pissed off and yes could use the smiley face thing more at times 100%.
You must admit it would be a super boring world on here if we just all agreed all the time and we didn't have a few forum fights  from time to time! I hope someone would not decide to buy a ONE board just because of something i say but if that is ever the case then i guess there is not much i can do on that front. If i worked for ONE i would more than likely fire me but since i can not do that i guess we are all stuck with my over the top dribble sometimes ;D

I also like the fact i don't run a brand that hides behind other people as most brands would get someone else to reply to stuff like this where as i am more than happy to nut it out and if i am wrong (which i never am by the way) i am happy admit it!

Now back to real business i am off to foil Tweed river!

You would know a lot better than I ever would. Specially i m partial to downwind allwater boards with very simple lines. Nelo or Edge Peo are way out of my league.

Haha but this is going to be my new DW board!! Well it would be if i had to try and race at the top level but i think i prefer like you something a little more on the more fun side so give me a Storm any day for full DW.

I think that the Liquid Athlete or Design boards our of California have a very similar tail albeit with the 4 fins Larry Allison system. I have no direct experience with these boards but maybe somebody has and can comment on their effectiveness. Not that you could put the extra fin boxes on an hollow board maybe?

I just can not see the resemblance between that liquid board and the ONE sorry maybe i'm missing something?  They have a board with a flat bottom and surfboard hips which has zero to do with how the ONE board is designed. We run the hip or better wings that have no effect of how the board paddles and has no effect on the water flow, I think if you look at the pics of there board and then look at more pics of ours you might see that really they are nothing alike and how their board paddles will be nothing like what ours does as they are based around completely different ideas. I seen the Liquid board on Insta yesterday after some one was calling us out for copying it but that guy is a tripper who was making those claims!  ;D ;D

I really do not see the need for more than 1 fin on our board either as the nose and tail will do a alot of the work and really you want as little fin as possible. 4 fins yeah i will leave that one alone!  ;D

I have paddled both and both really good boards, i wont give my review as i could be called bias but i think either way you go you will have a sweet board.

It's still in the line up and can still be ordered new it just has not had a production update to a 2.0 board yet. A lot of the 12'6 boards we have been making these days have been a little more custom side as it is a alot smaller class now they it used to be.

Ultra light is still really good and i would say you will hardly notice the difference in durability from your EVO boards.

Hi Mate, only a few of these really ever made with 14ft boards taking over and 12'6 market getting pushed to the side. The 12'6 x 22 Edge pro is a great board and very fast for a 12'6.

This board would be coming up to 2 years old as we made it for Angie for when we came to the US for BOP and Battle of the bay, Ang loves this board and we also made one for Kenny Kaneko in Japan and while they were racing 12'6 boards he loved it!!

It would be ultralight 100%, it was made before we started adding the ultralight logo so this would be why it does not have it.

Other than that its a great little board for flatwater, it has more of a mid recess maybe compared to the full depth recess we do on todays boards but if you can stand on it and want a fast 12'6 i think you would really like this board.

Downwind and Racing / Re: Downwinding at the Gorge
« on: June 26, 2019, 03:18:18 PM »
I am pretty keen to see some feedback from people after they ride the ONE EVO 2.0 in the Gorge as i feel this board will suit the river really well. Bigwinds has a few of these so hopefully as the session over there really heats up some crew might get the chance to really test them out in some good bumps.

What about something like the 14 x 28 ONE EVO 2.0 which would make a unreal touring board at a unreal weight and construction is BOMB proof. From memory a 14 x 28 in Elite is in the 11kg range or the dynamic construction is about 800g to 1kg heavier so still very light. For us no different in board strength as they get lighter and all you are paying more for is less weight. We do a Hybrid construction as well if weight is no issue and these are in the 13kg range but definitely cheaper in price and still bombproof.

For touring these boards would be perfect as they are very stable and paddle nice in the flat but handle the bumps super well plus if you are paddling rocky areas the construction will handle this better than most.

Yes we used the ski to get going on this day but it was only 15 to 20 knots so hard to paddle into the bumps on a prone board, with a bit more wind it is very doable to paddle in.

Nice and fair review, you will find the EVO does respond to movement on the board as a lot of these around boards tend to be like this. For what it sounds like you got it for it will be perfect.

If the carry strap is tight it will stretch a little with a bit of use but other wise we have put extra inserts in the board so it can be moved around a fair bit and as a last option you can put a new hole in the strap if really needed to give it a bit more finger room.

Hope you get some good paddles on it and enjoy the step down in width.

The 14 x 26 PVC EVO weighs in around the 13kg mark give or take a little bit as everyone always says. Its a great board very durable and still a great alround board. I use it a bit here for training when i swap around with a few crew who have them and speed wise is still really good, i do notice a little bit when i go to take of at the start of each set a little bit of weight difference between the carbon and PVC but if you are not a serious racer then this board should be sweet!!

If anyone has any questions on any of the boards feel free to ask me anything you like as i will be more than happy to answer if i can.

Cheers Jacko (ONE SUP)
