Go to calusablueway.com and we'll send you free maps of our 190 paddling trail in the Sanibel / Fort Myers area.  The maps list launches, state, county, federal parks, outfitters, marinas, beaches, and the marked trail.  The site has lots of tips for paddles, wildlife viewing,...  It is a paddler's paradise down here.  The wildlife is incredible.  When you request the maps, write that you're a zoner and I can send you my contact info in case you have any questions.  I'll make sure you have an awesome visit.

Downwind and Racing / Re: Favorite trophies

Thank you for the responses.  By many trophies, meant WPA categories, X age groups, X gender, X 1st through 3rd, X 2 races.  That ads up quick. 4 X 3 X 2 X 3 X 2 = 144.  Seems like a lot, but we want this race to be a fun one for the average racer.  The overall elite winner will get a really cool metal Calusa mask made by a local artist.  Thanks again for the ideas.

Hi All,

We're hosting the Battle on the Blueway on the Calusa Blueway in May and will potentially be giving out many trophies.  I'd like to give out something that racers will be stoked to receive, but not break the budget since we'll be handing out so many of them.  What are some of the trophies you received and haven't thrown in the back of the closet?

Thank you.

Happy to send you maps MadMax.

If you write something in the Comment section of the map request, I'll know it's you and send my contact info.  Then you can call / email any questions about the area.  The maps have tons of great info, but can't list every waterside restaurant / bar.

Check out the SWFL SUP Club as well.  See you on the water.

I'd love to get more SUPers involved so we can rename this the Calusa Blueway Paddle Craft Fishing Tournament.  It is a really fun and affordable tournament in one best areas to fish in the US.  Check out the Facebook event page for more details.
