The San Diego Paddlefest looks like an interesting paradigm. I have never gone, but plan to go next year.  Clay Island has a great video of it, and how all the different paddlers got together as happy surf outcasts and shared Aloha, waves and beer (my summation of his video) https://clayisland.com/paddlefest/

Supsean, I don't know where that paddlefest was, but it was definitely not in San Diego. I live there and have never heard of it. The video wasn't from anywhere in San Diego. I watched that whole video, and the narrator never once mentioned where it was. Anyone?

Does anyone know what companies will be there with Demo boards?  No info at all on the PPG website. I like to go try out the boards in the surf, if for no other reason than to piss off the surfers, since the Demo zone gives us a pass to a surf zone otherwise off limits to SUP.

Kind of like Caddy day at the pool!

MJB, my response is too late for your visit, but Phil's excels at certain things, most notably their beef ribs. I usually sit at the bar, order a couple of beef ribs with a side of their outstanding Cole slaw and wash it all down with an ice cold local draft beer, of which there are many to choose from. My wife lives their tri-tip sandwich.

Off Topic on this thread, but the Sunova boards look great. Does anyone know if their U.S. distributor is planning a demo day in California this year? I'd like to try out some of those in the surf.
