Genius for grabbing a few bucks. I guess you only have to worry about leaving the board alone on the beach..... sea gulls pick out the eyes first !

SUP General / Re: Shipping damage - What can we do as consumers?
« on: October 14, 2015, 05:02:22 PM »
We took all necessary precautions before taking it.  All claim forms were filled, we took pictures on our phones, and even had the shipping company workers take pictures on their own cameras.  It was clear and obvious that all damage was done by the shipping company.  The destination flight even received an email from the connecting flight saying they saw damage to the board.

All that and the claims department says they couldn't pay me back for the full amount.

Make sure the board is fully insured upon shipping including the freight cost.  I ship goods for a living, I've had boards come in damaged and been fully reimbursed by National trucking Co's.  NEVER sign a BOL clear if board is damaged, if really bad take pictures or have them come out to facility.

Check the Matuse Vintage suit deals. Im 6'2 215-220. Im in their XXL s but good suits and they last. Ive spent most of a jersey winter in a 3/2. Good boots and gloves are the key.

7
5-7mil boots take about 90 min in cold temps

8
you can vary drying heat.  Im in NE so garage gets pretty cold, even high heat sometimes takes 2 hrs.  stuff ankle and wrists w paper towels if i need it faster, over 2 years no suit damage

9
Make a hanger out of 1.5" pic pipe, grab a hair dryer. 2 hrs dry time.

I don't understand Amazon... the price is now up to $928 on the 10'6?  I grabbed one last night when it was $663 but I just don't get why it changes like this, no rhyme or reason.

The prices automatically adjust based on competition, could be another board of same size.  Usually another merchant online or on amazon would have had one at or around that $663.00 even it was just for a half day etc.from same mfg.

Sounds like the CC performs well, as advertised.

OCD:  Just looked up the Blair 12'6"Race board--how does it surf in small stuff?  That fin box looks way far forward--does the board track OK, or do you notice significant amount of yaw?

Geoff--Hey, good to hear from you. Hope the paddle worked out for your kid.  Thanks--would like to demo one, but am rarely that far south.  Mahalo.

Mike, it grabs lil waves no problem, good in ocean, easy going in flat water-- rails and thin nose are great in side chop.  board tracks real straight I have been using a Curtis fin.  im not versed enough in board design to explain why, but joe has it right on this board. Seems same type shape as CC and PSH 12'6.  Good solid do everything board.

Check out the joe Blair race 12'6.  Seems to be a similar go to all around board.  I grab mine for everything.
