I have also been using Endmondo with a waterproof case. Nice to have my running, biking and paddling all in one app.

So far this case has been awesome. have used it for underwater videos also. http://www.mec.ca/product/5025-316/aquapac-mini-camera-case-408/?No=40&h=10+50004+50042+50617&f=10+50004+50617

Well I ended up going a totally different direction. Stumbled upon a demo for sale and thought I would give it a try. Hopefully it is nice so I can get it in the water.

Funny how going to check out the drive got me considering other boards all together. Have almost come to the conclusion that the drive may be a little small for the way I will be using it. (cruising, cross training, a little fishing and lazy day exploring).

Was quite impressed by the Bic 12.6' Wing though.

Ontario / Anyone snorkelled the Wreck of the Mary Ward in Craiglieth?

Has anyone been to check it out? Have seen a few videos on youtube and it looks like it would be a fun little snorkel destination on a clear day.

Everything I read varies as far as location goes, anywhere from 2km to 4km off shore. Any info would be great as come spring we will be out searching.

My starboard Drive 10.5' * 30" is my fav allround board.

Thanks for the input, I like what I am hearing.

Mr. Steez what kind of paddling are you planning to do with either of these boards?

Cruising, surfing, or both?

I would be using the boards for cruising the majority of the time. Exploring local lakes and cruising around Georgian Bay. I would love to surf but I don't know much about the great lakes as far as surfing goes.

Often times my daughter jumps on the front and we just cruise.

Get the Drive, starboards r solid. Think we r looking at the same board, 2012 model @ Silent sports....pretty good deal.

I did see the one at Silent Sports, definitely a good deal. Current model is not a lot more either. decisions, decisions.

I found some info on the Drive via search, a lot of which is older models being reviewed but the board doesn't look to have changed a lot over the years.

No one has any experience with the NSP Elements? can't find any reviews.

Hello all, I have been looking at switching from my inflatable to a hard board. Current setup is a 10'7"x30.5" and I am 5'9" and 195lbs.

I have narrowed my search down to two boards, with aesthetics, and price point being the driving forces behind picking these.

The first choice is a 10'5"x30" Starboard Drive white. Got to briefly ride one this summer and loved the feel, simplicity and build quality.

The second choice is a NSP Elements Blue in either the 10'6" or the 11' version.

Love the look of both boards, but cannot pull the trigger and decide. From a price standpoint they are almost identical.

Any input from any past experiences or things you have heard about either would be great. Also not sure if the Starboard would be on the small side as an all around cruising board?

Cheers

I haven't explored minimalist shoes but I do have wide flat feet so I would be curious if a company makes one that fit my ridiculous feet.

I run in New Balance, they have the option of a double E width that is quite roomy. I started and still use NB730's which have a 4mm drop i believe. Also wear minimus trails that I can't get enough both running and for everyday use.
