My question is why are you looking at Gofoils ? Good folks definitely avant guard designs in their time. They are not transferable (Folks are always buy complete GoFoils rather than upgrading components)

I'm not Nay saying GoFoil just wondering a school a thought Yoou can get great NEW foils from KeNalu (site sponsor worth supporting) and Slingshot (just to name 2) for under $700 complete and they and upgradeable

I don't want to start a Flame war with the GoFoil faithful I'm just saying there are options

I LOVE KeNalu paddles and I really can't stand "Noodly" paddles (or "noddly anything)

Guys

The Fanatic FLY is a good board lots of my customers still use it. The 11'6 is only 33" 256L Doubt you need that. 10'6 is the most popular size and a nice all around board that catches waves like a magnet! If you are looking at the 10'6 size and you are looking for real performance the STYLEMASTER 10'6 X 31"
Has almost all the stability of the fly and about 35% more performance turning and on the nose. And at least here in USA they cost the same as the FLY.

just another thought!

East...

I think water clarity (or lack there of) has alot to do with not seeing the sharks in NJ
Cool to hear all the wildlife you are seeing, proves NJ waters are clean

ICHABOD

If you wanna see a shark
First you have to come to the Ocean
2) They are there and mostly unseen ie predator
3) Chop up some bunker (10/20#) and throw it in the water slowly for an hour or 2

YOU'LL SEE SHARKS

The handle isn't going to change the softness and
The Mana has a softer catch and more forgiving design
Wiki is more forgiving to paddling technique

OR

For less than you pay for a new MANA you could get a Chinook Thrust 82 just as light very forgiving.

PM me for more details

Hey Guys,

A friend of mine Paul Sykes got "Bumped Hard" (NOT BIT!!)by a large shark while body boarding a couple of days off of Ship Bottom
Lots of bunker in the water (not to mention fishermen...but that is another story)

Be careful out there!

Noo Noo

8'10 is the older wider nose (not good in heavy chop) plus 8'10 is to short
The NEW AllWave VCT's are less clunky, faster while still being super stable.

The 2 Starboards are good options too but NOBODY makes a board as well as FANATIC I've been dealing with them for 26 yrs (selling tons of them both SUP & Windsurfers) I can't remember the last Warranty request...Maybe Creek's 8'10 (like 6 or 7 years ago???) handle leak and they replaced the entire board and changed their construction.

Good Luck

I've ridden the JP Fusion 9'8 Extensively and it's is a very good board but needs a bit of a wave to push it!
In your case I would seriously concider

Fanatic AllWave 9'4
Starboard Wide point or Whopper 9'5

Either of these board will be a big improvement in everyday surf for you

Have fun

TooLate,

I mean the EXACT opposite The sticky side is touching the rez and folds over working out air bubbles then "Sticking" to the opposite side
GREAT way to fix fins
