SUP General / No Name Ebay SUP?

I have a friend with limited resources that want's a SUP. I told him to look on Craigslist and Ebay. He has found a brand new board for a reasonable price but it is a no name board. He has contacted the seller and they stated it is made by Magic Surfboard factory in China. Has anyone ever heard of them or know if they make any of the big name boards?
Thanks

I already have a Hovie 13x29 that I have been using at San Onofre. I can catch tons of waves but it doesn't turn very well. Last year was my first year Stand up paddling mostly flat water. I even entered a few races but now I live closer to the ocean and have more fun riding waves. Thanks for all your input. Is there anywhere that demos?
Thanks

There is a small growing group of SUPers in Big Bear. It slows down in the winter but you can still go out. I just got a new drysuit so I will be going throughout the winter. During the summer there is a evening paddle every sunday afternoon. there is a Big Bear SUP facebook page  http://www.facebook.com/groups/189399801127976/ and website http://openairbigbear.com/ that has events and info about paddling on Big Bear lake.
