Very surprised and saddened to hear of the cancellation of the BOP.
It Is a high class event and the biggest of its kind. Hoping to see it resume in 2016.

If your looking for a fun alternative that weekend or hook up with other STandUp Zone members, Ventura Paddle Surfing Championships at "C" Street dates are confirmed for the beginning of October. Looks like Subaru will sponsor be event again which allows us to give away cash prizes and run a better event. With the BOP Race canceled we are looking into the logistics of adding a race as Ventura is an ideal place for one. We will keep everyone updated on this possibility.

This is a very laid back and friendly event. Surf a great Break, meet up with friends and make new friends. Bring the family too!

We have a limited amount of space for camping at "c" street beach lot, cool place to camp and no charge. This free camping space is limited to competitors only. Call me for details

Hi StandUp Zone members,

First and foremost, I really appreciate the continued support everyone has shown us.

With only 2 weeks to go, we are trying to get a final head count, so that we can plan accordingly. If you could let me know if you are planning on attending, I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, if I could ask a favor... We can always use help getting the word out about the "C" street competition.  If you can pass the message on to people that might be interested in signing up, or even better posting a link on your FaceBook to the competition page, I would be very grateful.

We have a lot of exciting changes going on this year. We have lowered the registration fee from $135 to $95.00.  Subaru will be sponsoring this year's competition and this is allowing us to not only lower this year's entry fees, but it's also allowing us to offer $2000.00 in cash prizes! We are expecting our best year yet!

Hoping you can make it Surfcowboy, we always appreciate your support and the support of other STandUp Zone members. And anyone that wants to set up a Tent for StandUP Zone members are more than welcome.

I would also like to encourage Manufactures and Team Riders to attend. In a world filled with SUP Racing surf events, SUP Surf only event are far and few. They provide Manufacturers with great photo opportunities of SUP surfing (little more action than Racing photos) of their Team Riders to use for marketing and pushing SUP surfing credibility even further in the non SUP Surfing world. The quality of Surfing at our event has caused many surfers to look at SUP surfing with a new respect and this is an audience manufacturers should want to go after. We also are not sponsored by any manufacturer so there is no marketing bias towards anyone, it is a marketing opportunity for all. In an effort to get more participation this year we are encouraging Manufacturers and Teams to set up tents for marketing, no charge! Contact me for more Info.

On a side note, we have more International riders signed up than we ever had, South Africa, Australia & NewZealand riders flying in. We are also filling up earlier than we have before. Please, anyone planning on competing get your registration done as soon as possible.
