What can I say but I am so jealous of my Maui brothers and sisters. I've just had one of the best times of my life and you get to live it all the time.
The 1st time surfing with brother Bill, cruising the west coast to Lahaina watching whales and turtles everywhere, the board showcase....surrounded by aloha.....50 testers with smiles on their faces and 40+ boards to play with, watching the young guns play and wishing I was 12 again, head high plus at Kanaha and me actually managing a long drop while whales and godlike sunsets play on the horizon, surfing with Rand and Evan and Scott and all the others that are so much fun to watch and talk with, hooting friends into a wave, sharing one with Jimmy Lewis, shooting the shit and talking shapes with Sean Ordonez, watching my wife's face light up on her 1st wave and knowing she's hooked now too......and these are just a small bit, the tip of the iceberg of the sessions in the last two weeks. Thanks to all of you and especially Bill and Diane for sharing such a great time.
Now its back home. Six inches of snow the day after we got home. But now I'm hoping for a nor'easter to bring some bigger waves so I can test the skills I built.
This certainly isn't the biggest wave of the last two weeks but its the one that meant the most. I think I'll get this framed for Mom.....the flying Babcock brothers

I'm hoping to head down your way this fall surf...definitely hook up. I'm looking for some art too. Preferably a Maui scene.

Sure was fun....I have a karmic balance adjustment now though...been sick twice the last 1 1/2 weeks and only been on the water once, and the waves weren't worth talking about.... :(
