Anyone know if Gorilla brand hot glue sticks are good for gluing handles and blades to paddle shafts? I used my last trusty yellow hot glue stick. The local stores had generic clear sticks or these opaque white Gorilla sticks which have vague boasts like "100% Tough".

They are OK. I use a variety of hot glues, mostly for paintless dent removal as well as KeNalu paddles, and I find this to be about the strongest hot melt glue: https://www.hotmelt.com/products/infinity-tough-guy-hot-melt-sticks
I used some today in fact. Apparently the last time I backed Nero, my racecar-hauler airstream into its lean-to shelter I ran it into something. today I started undoing some of the dents. This is a home-made puller bar reefing on a wide dent in the airstream. The center screw device is hot-glued to the center of the dent with tough-guy glue.

After: And yes, it's raining.

This part is going to take a bit more work.
