first it's got these guys'n'boards sliding down some river bank into a gross mud bog. and then it cuts to vvvery far away you see this shimmering line of something coming at you and hell if i knew what it was until almost right on top of me. and then you think it's all surfers but finally there's one or two paddles waving around in the air -- SUPers representing in a mud bore, yeah!
very strange, those french (at least i think they're french ...)

Hi Linter,
Hehe....looks like fun. Definitely different.

That was very cool.. thanks

Could someone explain? was this an incoming tide into an estuary? Pretty cool

yeah, nice catch... i've heard of le mascaret, the tidal bore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tidal_bore) on some river in france. also put up a link in this post (http://www.standupzone.com/forum/index.php?topic=252.msg1796#msg1796) a while ago of a similar event on the amazon which they the call pororoca.

Amazing! Looks like fun, although I was initially perturbed by the phenomenon. Thanks for sharing!
