Just trying to toughen up for my 73rd Birthday ;D ;D ;D

A few of those came close to ending badly. Nearly all my surfing injuries have been from falling on the board in the whitewater.

Great stuff Creek!
When I started makings surf videos I thought people would want to see the perfect bottom turns and heroics. Then I discovered that
The average person likes the Crashes more.
This should be a popular cut.

Loved it.
-
That was a great video! Still laughing about that last one. 8)

Nice Creek! A nice change up from all of those "perfect" vids. Especially when a good portion of my surfing resembles what I just watched! Keep it coming!
-
Dude, you’re a legend. The foot sweep from the lip is so familiar to me.
-
Thanks Zonoids!
this was the easiest video I ever edited.... I only had to go through a few vids to find way more crash clips than I needed ;D ;D
-
That was fun creek!

Too funny. What a great tune for such a vid.
Visuals to uphold surfing as a contact sport. All the soreness after a session isn’t from paddling.
That last blast from behind was a nasty one.

'Don't let it hit you in the ass on your way out.' You haven't lost a step, Ricky.
I would suggest however, you stay off the bike trials. Water will want to play with you unless you enter Darwin's waiting room—Ground's payback is a little more like revenge for the slightest infringement. Play on...

Thanks for posting Rick, need to see guys ahead of me still going for it, inspiring.

Anyone can pick and choose a few good looking clips from their sessions and make themselves look like heroes (my main problem with the 3 second clip shortboard compilations) but this looks way more real, and in a way, way more fun. This is why we don't all just rent jet skis.
Besides, anyone who knows can see the stance and positioning and tell that you know what you're doing, regardless of the fall.
I did that last butt flop a few days ago with my wing and foil in the shore break on my way out. Guy comes over and asks if I needed help. Humbling.

Love your taking the elevator down at 1:46.
Hey Rick what is that board at the end, with the stepped rails and nose kick?

Welcome to the Zone... guessing NZ?
Yeah... that backslapping wave was just like the old bully in high school ;D

Hi Dusky,
9'2 GenRation Wedge. It's the same board I am riding in the 1st clips of "5 days in SoFlo"
I am reaching up to this board... as it is best used by the highly skilled performance SUPsters with solid balance skills.
The more I learn, the more I like it!
Someday I may feel qualified to do an actual review... till then, I'll sneak in some clips from time to time :)

Thanks Clay.... gotta keep pushing forward or spiral down the drain hole!!!

Thanks. I looked it up and sure 'nuff it's styled as a relatively more advanced board. You wouldn't know it from looking at it.
Back to the video... it's probably good for our mental well being to get maytag'ed now and again. Keeps things in perspective...

Anyone can pick and choose a few good looking clips from their sessions and make themselves look like heroes . . . .

Creek is a Hero because he reinvented himself at 65 (?) and became a SPONSORED Surfer. Ambassador for Sunova, surfing troubadour. Surfboard designer - Have you Ever Surfed on the Sunova Creek model???
We all aspire to be ripping turns like this when we are 70 years old. I took this video of Creek on a Sunova Creek in Rhode Island. One of the few (?) times someone else was filming.

Beasho, you are too kind my friend!
I look forward to seeing you, R'y and the clan when we all return like the swallows to Capistrano!
