Title: Moses v. Armstrong foils
Post by: MasFoil on February 14, 2021, 07:52:02 AM
Looking for comparative feedback on both brands. Has anyone ridden both?

From marketing it looks like Armstrong might be better build quality. Is this accurate? Does this translate to a heavier kit?

Moses has lots of kite foiling experience and more performance wing choices. Seems like their foils are faster. Has anyone been able to compare both?

Thanks!

I’ve owned both.

I had the W1100 with 483 and 450 tails. Have ridden the Slingshot clones too.

I had the Armstrong 2400, 1850, 1550, 1250, 1050.

Armstrong is lighter.

Armstrong flows and feels more surfy. Overall, I prefer the “feel” and ride of the Armstrong.

Thanks for the feedback, Dwight! That’s exactly what I was looking for.

If you weigh over 70Kg I'd avoid the larger Moses wings. Seeing too many pulled front wing mount inserts from hard use / bad landings. Until they address that skinny contact area with three bolts it's going to stay a kitefoil company.
