The only foil board that I own is a 5’1 Foil Surf Machines Wing board. I want to give prone surf foiling a try on an upcoming vacation (small waves). What are your guys thoughts on using this board for prone foil surfing? Is it doable or should I not go through the hassle of taking it with? I’m an intermediate wing foiler, but have never tried foil surfing.

I'd say "Go for it". Yesterday Dave Daum (King's Paddle Sports) and I swapped boards out in the water, and I SUPed his 5'1"x27"x100 liter board that I honestly didn't think would even float me (I'm 187 lbs)...much less be able to paddle around, drop into a bunch of waves, and have a blast surf foiling such a small board...and best of all, stayed dry the whole time doing it was so amazingly stable for its size. :o ;D
So if you're wing board is similar or even narrower with less volume than the one I SUPed yesterday...I think you'd have a blast prone foiling it, and I might even consider doing the same...when I get a very similar one to the one mentioned above (will make my bottom changes) that I'm sure I'll be ordering sooner than later. Lol. =)

It's doable. It'll be annoying to prone paddle since it's so wide. It will catch on cutbacks possibly. But sure it's doable. My prone board is 18.5 inches wide.

Def doable. I have a 5’1 FSM that around 74 ltr. And I’ve proned it a few times. First wave on my 1850 was on that board and got a 3-1!
