Title: Late Drop - Jamie Mitchell podcast
Post by: sflinux on October 14, 2020, 10:40:47 AM
Just wanted to share in case you weren't aware.  Jamie Mitchell started a Big Wave podcast last July.

And in case you have been living under a stone, the Erik Antonson Paddlewoo podcast is awesome for documenting the history standup paddle surfing:

Erik Antonson also has a podcast that dives deep into Foiling:

Does anybody have any other podcasts that they would recommend that are surfing and hopefully more specifically standup paddle surfing related.

Thanks for these.  The foiling series by Erik Antonson have been great. I definitely learned and was motivated by some of the young rippers and their observations on pumping.

I wish someone would combine the two: Big Wave and Foiling!

I might have to start my own podcast.

@beasho: A big wave foil podcast would be epic.  "Climb Every Mountain" would be a great theme song.  I would enjoy hearing the history of each rider.  I would be really interested to hear the progression of any relevant big wave stand up paddle surfing.  Then exploring the progression of the riders foiling into big waves and details of the equipment used would be really interesting.  I get chicken skin just thinking about you doing this podcast.

How does this picture look?  Buoys were 12 ft @ 10 seconds.

Latest episode of Late Drop has Grant Washburn.

I got to see him directing (the jet skis at) the last pre-pandemic Red Bull Heavy Water.  Legend.
Love all of your pictures and videos Beasho.  With pictures you definitely need a rider on the wave to get a sense of scale.
