Title: Shorter New Deal
Post by: FastEddie on August 09, 2020, 12:10:04 PM
Has anyone tried the new shorter lengths of the New Deal from Infinity.  Guess we can say New New deal ;)  I had the 9x28 loved it so wondering how the 8x28 would compare to it as it's 1foot shorter but 3 letters less volume.  Also curious about the 8'6x29 so this is 6" shorter but 1 in wider an 10L more then the 9x28.  Guess the rails must be a little fuller on both these smaller sizes.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of it until I saw this post.

If it's a good shape perhaps it downscales really well  ?

We have seen SMIK do something similar with their stylord- and the opposite when they scaled their hipster twin up.

It's great to see shapes evolving and improving. I have made the mistake of going too low in volume in the past so a shortish length and a bit of volume is no bad thing IMO.
