Title: Dawn Patrol Episode 7 - 8'10 Placid wakes me up!

But I was frothing to get this one done immediately!

Yesterday, I had a moment.
A board I didn't previously sync with, may just have become my favorite!

I had a 9'1 Sunova Placid and tried to discover what others were reporting about it... every fin option, good waves, but I just didn't get it.
It felt too big for me,
So, because I wanted to give it a fair shake, I added an 8'10 Placid to my quiver.

BAM! Blown away!
Super snappy!
Doing tail slides on cutbacks and late drops (intentionally), yet had plenty of drive down the line.

My dawn patrol buddy Dave, is Zoner, NEsurfSUP.... what a run we have had!

Great rides! The joys of waking up early. The last few mornings I have been making it out for the "dawn patrol" and what a great way to start the day before most of the youngsters are even awake. One of the rewards of getting older.

but you are right, these days, the surfers don't hit the line-up till 8:30..... works for me :)

Pumped to see a couple of recent videos!!! Gotta admit, when I've visited over the last number of months I haven't logged in and probably spent less than 5 mins based simply on seeing a myriad of topics/comments ranging from COVID analysis/interpretation to foiling threads - and serious lack of videos related to board reviews, technique and just session fun.

Anyway, when I do visit I go straight to the "Recent Posts" and "Recent Topics" to see what's up/new in a quick glance.....I stumbled upon this video when I went into the "General Discussion" category as I didn't see it in the recent posts section on the main page....gotta be a better way for the site to highlight recent posts without having to go into each category(???????)

Enjoyed the vid and will be back for more....hopefully!!!!
