I mean just getting wet and paddling out in the ocean by myself felt good, but catching a wave, doing a hard cutback and just watching the water spray off my rail..... was great! I repeated that till my shoulders had had enough. Beach / ocean is open to surfing by my house. There were only three of us out. Had to take a nap. Dam that felt good 8)

The apres surf feeling is the best. I love coming out of the water after an early morning surf and getting a huge cup of coffee and sitting in my hot tub. My wife says I literally have stars in my eyes when I do.

Well..... That was short lived. Orange County beaches are closed. They showed film from a news helicopter of Huntington and Newport last weekend. Tons of people at the beach. They zoomed in and it's basically large groups of teenage and 20 somethings all over. The families where keeping their distance. I get it, it was 90 degrees + inland and 70 at the beach. So that was it. Glad I got my session in.

The city of hb has said they’ll fight it. Surfers surfed all over Huntington today.
