Title: Terrific Wingsurfing Instructional Video
Post by: Admin on March 07, 2020, 05:48:17 AM
Here is a terrific vid showing some Wing Surf starts, jibes, tacks.  Very will filmed and with a bonus of one of our own doing the riding/instruction and one of DW's boards.  Very cool.

Sweet!  I hope to imprint that in my declining memory. (bookmarked!)  It was nice that he repeated everything..  those 'one and done' videos are kinda useless.  I wish he would have added all the weights, measures and hardware stuff...    It musta been Dwight's board that makes it look easy.

Here he is...   https://www.oceanfreakskiteboardingkeywest.com

If your nerves can take the plane ride, it's likely a great place to learn ...plus there is a foiling Cable Park in the Keys.

Great video - thanks for posting. This makes the DW board look so easy and fun to ride, I can't wait to get mine! I have an order in for the 90L 5'1 board.

Glad you guys like the vid. I'll be shooting more at the end of the month and getting more into the other ways to get up, light winds, bad knees, ECT. Dwight's boards make it way easier than anything else I've tried. I'm living in Miami so if anyone is in the area, I'm always down to go get a session. I have flat water spots up here also. If anyone wants me to touch on something, let me know. I'll have jibes, tacks and 360 stuff coming. Need a drone so I can teach catching waves and ocean swell. All easy stuff if you know the technique and having one of DW's boards always helps.

Here's a 'copy/paste" on FLKs specs:  "5'1" by DWF (Dwight). It's 90 liters. I was on a 6 meter F1, Axis 1020 standard fuselage and 400 rear with 45 cm mast. It was blowing about 10-12 knots."  ..."I'm 72 kg and the 90 liters is great for my weight."

Here's a great teaching video for beginners by Alan Cadiz -- there's a lot to digest and he does a great job at explaining the fundamentals.

Alan Cadiz did an awesome job. I sent that to so many people and now I have all my students watch that as homework.
